It indicates a heavy slant toward cheating, netori (MC seduces someone else's partner), and netorare (MC's partner cheats on them). It's possible to play through the story as either a male or female MC. Neither of them are renamable. Alex, the male MC, is as dumb as they come. He gets uncontrollably horny when seeing the smallest glimpse of a woman. His constant cheating was discovered by Emma, his wife (and supposed love of his life), making her want to divorce him. Circumstances entice them to stay married for a year longer, and stay at a mansion they hope to inherit. While Alex often expresses remorse, he never tries to make better choices, even going as far as second-guessing the player when they make sensible choices for him. Emma, the female MC, suffers from a Dissociative Identity Disorder. She acts like a meek and demure housewife/artist, at least until her alter ego takes over, and she decides to suck off Alex outside the player's control. The main issue here isn't necessarily the content/kinks themselves, but the story and characterization. If Alex were an unapologetic cheater who'd express how much he got off on the thrill of it, that'd be fine. Instead, he constantly flip-flops on what to do. He'll briefly consider Emma's feelings, before acting like a horny 14-year-old seeing his first pair of breasts. Likewise, Emma's condition doesn't make for a compelling MC either. Why would I want to play as Emma, and make choices for her, when the game can just wrest that control from me and have her alter-ego act out the dev's fantasies? The story itself isn't told well either. The player is never told about what's at stake, what the rules of the 'game' are, and even fails to introduce the main cast adequately. For instance, we're first led to believe that only Emma and Alex will have to stay at the mansion, until suddenly Daniel and Isabelle show up. If you decided to play Emma's route first, then you'll encounter characters who aren't introduced at all, while they are on Alex' route. The game's style of storytelling doesn't sit right with me either. There's an inconsistent mix of the MCs having thoughts, the narrator saying what they're thinking, or describing what's happening. Additionally, the narrator often describes things that aren't shown on the screen. I don't need to read "Or maybe it was your persistence, [i](she said, rolling her eyes playfully.)[/i]". This is an AVN, show me rolling her eyes instead. "Mansion Affairs" also goes out of its way to make its characters unlikeable. Alex is a borderline sociopath. Daniel is manipulative and shows his true colors when verbally abusing the staff. His wife, Isabella, likes to put people down to feel superior, and so on. All of these people deserve each other, in the worst way possible. It doesn't listen to the player's choices either. Players are given the opportunity to have Alex ignore Eleanor's (their neighbor) flirting, and to remove themselves from an intimate situation... To then see Alex stick his hand between Eleanor's legs while she's talking to his wife. It doesn't matter why I'm not interested in Eleanor. I could find her unattractive, or, I could want to play a version of Alex who wants to make better choices and tries to rebuild his marriage. But it's clear the dev has their own plan for these characters, and the choices are largely meaningless. After a few hours of regular AVN content, the game switches into a sandbox experience. This sandbox has several issues, most related to accessibility. The map has many locations, but the text with the location names is unreadable. And while it has a quest list, the objectives are relatively limited to certain days and times. With not a lot to do just yet, this feels like a slog to get through, involving a lot of skipping time. At this point, I completely lost interest in exploring the game more. One positive thing I can say about this game is about its animations. These show skill and attention to detail. Some are more basic than others, but still of a decent quality.

[h1]Story[/h1] This is the story of Alex and Emma. Alex is a boxer and Emma is an artist. They are married, but Alex has continued to fall into the arms, and beds, of other women. Emma has finally had enough and wants divorce. That day Alex receives a notice that his aunt left him a mansion, with the provision they both live in it, as husband and wife, for a year. Will this adventure bring them together again, or tear them apart? Then Alex's cousin Daniel, and his wife Isabella show up. They have been given the same terms, they too must live in the mansion, together, for a year. It doesn't take long for the strained relationship of Alex and Daniel to emerge. Can they all last a year together? [h1]Gameplay[/h1] When you launch the game you are required to verify that you are over 18…every single time. The introduction to the main characters is about an hour. After the introduction you are given the option to play as Alex or Emma. The text doesn't always match the images. For instance, Emma is described as an abstract painter, however the picture she is painting is a portrait of a family. There is a meter in the upper left, but you are never given any indication of what it is for. For Alex it is a Power level and for Emma it is a Mental level. The game ends after the fifth day. Currently the Alex story line has more choices and content, currently nine choices with only four choices for Emma. The stories are not very different between the two characters. However, there are characters that currently only appear in one story line. The Emma story looks to be setting up for some female / female action, but there is none at this time, other than them being nude together in the spa. According to the character sheets these are some mighty small people, all lest than 2cm. In game they are described in meters. There are some issues with the English, pronoun agreement for one, and the occasional typos. Overall, the English is acceptable. Currently the Steam achievement doesn't work. [h1]The Gallery[/h1] The Galley is accessed from the Replay option on the title menu. Replays are broken down by character. Even though all of the characters are listed some only have a black box, indicating no scene. Scenes are indicated by drawings. You are only able to access scenes that you have viewed in the game, but are able to see the scenes that you are missing, making it much easier to obtain them. There are currently six scenes, but there is additional nude content in the game. [h1]Final Verdict[/h1] A decent start. You can either play as the male or female lead. The game is only five days long right now and the Alex story has more content. "Maybe it's not that bad, even with bad review" but unfortunately, it was not a finish game. - Writing could be much easier - A strong plot would be fine - Personal a fan of beauty grafikk, not necessarily high, but plesent It could work on the map overview, this kind of feels unfinished. Much of the time get used to navigate using maps overview, to your place of the Marion. You follow a day sequence of 16hours day time and in this period will try to locate certain peoples at a certain time of day, but you never know when or or Wich location any of them are, many it could help with a pointer some how. This leads to roming and clicking through the clock-hour icon, hour by each location, hoping to stumble upon someone to talk! Ultimately, it feels more like a detective game, going from room to room and asking question.
This is one more for the readers vs the others but at this time there's only a few sexual scenes with average animation. It will be up to you if you feel it's worth trying to save your marriage or will you decide to say it's not worth saving. When you do get to the area of the freedom to explore around the mansion you'll have 14 different area's to explore while you're looking for the others or just wondering around to kill some time. I've only played this once with one of the charters and it took me around 3.5 hrs but 30 mins or so of it was looking for the others during the exploring trying to find them to interact with while not having any clue or ideal time when to find them. All though some of them do have a time, day and location where to interact with them. There is a bar that shows the MC mental status in the upper left corner of whom ever you choose but it's unclear at this time what will happen when or if it gets to low. Just a reminder this is still early access and it will continue also it's meant to be played twice with both male and female MC's to see how the story will change with the choices you make.

Plot quickly strays off course and the VN turns into an open world take your best guess to get to the next actual story content. I cannot stand any VNs that use the sandbox mechanic as false longevity tactic. If you have a story tell it. Make choices impactful or just make a kinect novel, but don't waste my time with this sandbox "investigation" BS. If you're interested in this, wait. Wait for a proper guide so you don't have to deal with the absurdity of this trash.

Pros: -Psychological drama -Both a male and female prot -Some choice points and sandbox content Cons: -Early access -Sometimes a bit tricky to figure out what to do next This is a slow burn adult visual novel in the romantic thriller, mystery genre, with healthy amounts of drama. While it still has a ways to go, I've enjoyed what there is so far and feel like this game has a lot of promise. Playing from Ema's perspective, there is a lot of drama both internal and external, and while it is an adult game, I wouldn't let that bog down your purchasing this or not - thus far it seems well balanced with the drama, thriller, and mystery elements added in. Looking forward to seeing this game continue on - 3.5 out of 5 bloody knives.
