According to my library, there are 16 games I would call "Art". Games that force me to consider something about myself or the world around me, games that elicit an emotional response weather it's the 1st or 50th time I've played. The games in this category range from games like Journey or The Talos Principle to games like Night in the Woods or OneShot. This is one of those 16. The game isn't long at all- my first playthrough clocked in at about 20 minutes- but every second had something for me, be it wondering why something was happening, or (and this actually happened after the second chapter) falling to my knees in despair as the truth set in. This is a game that will make you contemplate what it means to be alive, what it means to die, and how fine the line between living and dying can be....How in the middle of a perfectly mundane moment, everything can be ripped away from you, forever. If you have VR, I strongly suggest you get this game.
A nice and short (25 minutes) VR experience full of emotion. The soundtrack was fantastic and really set the tone for the whole thing. At first, you're not sure what's going on in the story, but after a bit it all comes together.
I would like to write a good and informative review about Manifest 99, but after experiencing this masterpiece I'm somewhat speechless and there seems to be something in my eye... Anyways (no spoilers): You're riding on a train through a surreal world, changing your position by staring into the eyes of crows. Therefore everything around you appears rather large. You learn something about each passenger in very nice theater sections. For the best experience I highly recommend not to watch any gameplay videos before. I really hope that the developers are going to make more such experiences. - No controllers needed - Nice visuals and story - No stress or pressure - Gloomy atmosphere (some people might get a bit uncomfortable) - Needed time about 20-30min.
I teared up. Not a game, but an experience.
Great, stylish narrative. Pretty awesome, great VR experience.
发人深省的小短篇。
I loved this, I found it very touching, poignant and there's no fat on this game at all. Get it half price if you can ($3 or something)
Amazing short cinematic experience with gaze-controlled pacing. Stylish visuals aged very well and the story is simple yet touching. It's artistic and exciting at the same time, truly a hidden VR gem. Works perfectly fine with Reverb G2, despite not having official WMR support on the Store page.
A nice and quick story and it was actually nice considering it spans only from 20-25 minutes.
I loved every second of it. This proves how amazing VR is, and that the possibilities are endless.
