Very meat and potatoes SMT like. Story and characters are set dressing, and that's kind of how I like it. Pure dungeon crawl, nice monster designs, and fun gameplay
A very nice, fun, respectable, SMT-type game, albeit not as refined or deep as the lastest SMT(s). It is even better in some respects, like more appropriate names for summons ( which I REALLY appreciate. ) Also, I appreciate the Steam Deck support. I'm really hopeful this will take-off as a whole series and get more deep and expansive! Thank you Gumi Bytes!

Enjoyable SMT tribute game in the style of it's earlier titles. Worth checking out if you have played and liked the later games of that franchise.
If you like older megaten games or older turn based rpgs you'll most likely like this. I haven't finished yet so ill update later but so far game play is fun and the story is intriguing
a smt-like you could call it. And a good one,
Still really early in the game, but so far it is an awesome homage to the PS1 and DS era of Atlus games. If you enjoyed Strange Journey, Soul Hackers, or P2: Eternal Punishment then check this game out! Great visuals, catchy music, and surprisingly well designed monsters! At 10 dollars the game is a steal for anyone who enjoys dungeon crawlers or occult mysteries! You also get to stab monsters with pens and box cutters!
This is a great game. I don't love how many "random" encounters there are but I understand that was a thing during the era this game is based off of. Everything else about the game is amazing. Haven't finished it yet but I plan to. Would love to see them build on this and make more games that are similar.
Good game. There are some problems, but these are nothing that wouldn't have been solved by a bigger budget and/or more playtesting. The dungeons are exactly what you expect from the old DRPG styles SMTs and SHs. If you're hungry for more SMT and Soul Hackers, just get this. There's no debate to be had. I hate the stat increase on level passives, but I can live with it. Protip: recruit and fuse multiple Pangus (early level 3 demon) as soon as possible.
Despite the thumbs down its not a bad game at all. It's a dumbed down version of the first 2 SMT games which is cool and the gameplay is ok. The enemy designs are good enough but dont make any sense. I think the just drew some cool looking monsters the slapped them on everything randomly without much thought into what they were supposed to have looked like. The biggest problem I had is that area bosses didnt spawn so I kept getting stuck. If you like this type of game id say a better bet is Artificial Dream in Acradia.
