I love the concept but the execution is terrible
FMV game with battle sequences. Plays pretty much like QTE where you press right buttons at the right time. You can do combos by inputting consecutive sequences. Game gets quite hard later on and depending on the difficulty level it might take a lot of trying. FMV is ok, you will encounter random fighters inspired by different cultures. Overall play only if you're into FMV games but don't expect something mindblowing.
FMV fighting game where combat takes place primarily through rhythmic QTE sequences ✅Use of live-action footage ✅Nice graphics ✅Feels like watching an interactive movie (It's a shame it's only the QTE type, which I like, but that's not enough for me) ❌Low content. Only 3 main enemies, plus a possible bonus fight and one unlockable enemy ❌The entire fight is based on a single QTE type ❌No scenes explaining the story or the meaning of the events. ❌The price should be definitely lower ❌❌Verdict: [strike] Terrible [/strike] , [strike] Bad [/strike] , Mediocre , [strike] Decent [/strike] , [strike] Good [/strike] , [strike] Very Good [/strike] (Rating scale for short games, retro indie simulator games and similar)
If you'd like to see more of my reviews, you can find them on my curator page: CuratorKingViking and he we group: GroupKingViking If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask. Stay Dead Evolution is one of those games that I really want to recommend, simply on its novelty. But unfortunately Brucefilm didn't quite stick the landing, and the effort comes across as scattered and poorly implemented. I have to applaud the FMV work. It's incredibly cheesy in a good way, and is definitely both the sell and high point of the game. Unfortunately...it's wedded to a really weird input system. 'Combat' boils down to quick-time-Events that use the arrow keys(or the Dpad on a controller) being pressed in various directions or multiple times when an indicator flashes on the screen. While large and easy to read, they're not explained very well, and they're not that fun. The live-action shots get stale very fast, since most attacks re-use the same clips endlessly, especially enemy attacks. A faster, more fluid system, more input choices, or just a better presentation of a very awful UI would have helped this game immensely. As it is now, even on sale...you're better off just watching someone else play this game for a few laughs.
idk who buys this , really. 6€ is to expensive for that, i rather buy a kebab

Guys, just because this is an FMV game, and some of you like the genre (just like me), you shouldn't pick everything up with that tag, including this one (if you interested in FMVs of course). Even though the game has some challenge, you need to replay it a lot and get your senses straight to unlock everything, which brings up the question: is it worth to unlock everything in a game, where you have to watch a square to hit another square and react in time? Because you will concentrate to those mostly and not to lose the fight, you won't be able to watch the scenes, which doesn't look that great in 2015 in my opinion. Also, the controls not making much sense to me, I can't get it why I have to press up or down, because I can't connect the actions to the requested input. If you can get this game for like a 0.5€, than you can give it a round, but there is not much you can do in it. I can't recommend this one.
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
