At a Glance

(Adult) Content (FxM) sexual content.

Censorship? No. Woot! Woot!

Hours of Gameplay Three hours.

Patch Available? Download from Kagura.

Magical Valkyrie Lyristia is a lewd turn-based RPG about a young school-girl that is bestowed the power of the “Magical Valkyrie” in order to save her friend, and join the fight against the evil Fakker organization! Note: this article is a FRACTION of the full review. To read the whole article (including commentary and ratings), be sure pay my site a visit.
Gameplay
The goal of the game is to defeat the Samuraider, leader of the Fakker organization. He is a formidable opponent, requiring some preparation throughout the game. Though you have the option to skip “random encounters”, it’s a good idea to power-up before mandatory battles. There are a handful of ways to increase your strength. Enemies drop “Energy Crystals” (or “EC”), which are used to strengthen your outfit and increase your regenerative ability. Be on the look out for “Books”, which provide hefty (and permanent) stat boosts. As long as “Lyr Smashes” are enabled, there’s a fifty-fifty chance you’ll instantly defeat random encounters (reducing the overall damage you sustain and saving time). You’re encouraged to power through combat as quick as possible; from the start of each encounter, you’re granted a limited “Stia Field”. This protective device soaks up the vast majority of damage. When it breaks (or expires), not only do you take massively increased damage — you become susceptible to sexual advances! When you’re knocked down or restrained, you’re completely helpless until you “find an opening” and return to combat! Sometimes, you’re presented with difficult choices. What looks like the “right” answer is not necessarily the best option — if you choose wrong, it’s probably game-over.
Sexual Content
There are thirteen sex-scenes (many of which tied to “bad endings”). There are ten “bound” scenarios, which occur during combat by specific enemies (or specific situations). Enemies will either choose to attack or “grapple” you; if you are restrained, you’ll be unable to act until you spend at least one turn to break free! Meanwhile, enemies will enjoy free attacks (or they will rape you). If you’re interested in the “good” ending, it’s imperative to escape restraints as soon as possible — you’re utterly defenseless against virgin-breaking sexual advances! Grapples include a wide variety of comic-book style, cut-away CGs and sexy voice acting. If you’re forced to climax (or otherwise defeated in battle), you’ll be treated to a rape scene. Each rape scene is comprised of multiple base CGs, with lots of variation and lewd sounds that are sure to make you forget your failure — or watch in horror if visceral rape fantasy isn’t your cup of tea. Barring a single “bad ending”, Lyristia never comes to terms with her violation. The artwork is high-quality, showcasing her emotions and brutality of her foes. The sex-scenes are nicely written and somewhat lengthy — great for you know what!
Verdict
The moment I saw this game, I knew I was in for a treat! I was gravely disappointed by the story cut short. Magical Valkyrie Lyristia teases you with a grand story, but after three-four hours you’re left hanging at the credits. I enjoyed the ways Magical Valkyrie Lyristia breaks the mold, but it seems a little unrefined. At no point did I feel challenged — and the most difficult battles typically ended with an over-powered “tornado attack”. The enemies, scenarios, mechanics and artwork remind me of another RPG from Kagura Games, Psychic Guardian Super Splendor. From the “grapple” mechanic to the main antagonists, there are parallels between these games. Thankfully, Magical Valkyrie Lyristia doesn’t suffer from the same grind and slow combat as the aforementioned game. Magical Valkyrie Lyristia offers a selection of delightful animations that made me forget I was playing an RPGMaker game. They make this game feel like a premium experience. The artwork is amazing, and so are the sex-scenes! They’re pretty intense — if you’re not a fan of consensual intercourse, you’ll have a hard time viewing them. There isn’t a “corruption” mechanic where the protagonist learns to like rape. Every time you lose a battle (or choose the wrong option), you’ll get to watch her humiliation, degradation, and ultimately, how her story ends. If that’s what gets you off, I would highly recommend this game! It's a good game but doesn't feel finished. The "last boss" in this game you find out early on is one of 4 generals to a head boss and you don't get to see the big boss or 3 generals. It's an incomplete game for £10. Disappointing. General game play - fair but far too small. 2 or 3 floors in a block. Story - Good Scenes - Good Game length - under 6 hours Can't recommend at this price for an incomplete game, they'll probably bring out parts 2, 3, 4 and 5 for each boss at high price. Save up for a completed game.
If you're fan of Ixy, BUY IT NOOOOOOOOW.
If you come here for magical girl, not a perfect one but still great overall, just give it a try. (+++) Character: Designed by Ixy, solid 10/10. No doubt. (=) Story: Typical magical girl fight with evil organization story, interesting but a little bit too short (3-4hr to defeat the final boss, maybe less).
There are four final boss mentioned in the game, but you'll only face one of them.
(+) Cutscenes & H scenes: Fancy animated cutscenes when using skills during battle. Different H scenes for each type of enemies, also with animation. Sadly there's no full voices but not a big deal. Oh, and be careful that bad end after defeated by final boss may be too aggressive for someone. Not a problem if you are a
ryona/guro
fan, just like me :). (-) Battle system: Basically just a dice game. It's almost impossible to be beaten to death in the battle if you properly strengthen yourself. However, the biggest problem is enemies will try to restrain you or knock you down, and the probability of escape is usually 50% or lower. If you failed to break away, after enemies begin to perform sexual actions and drain energy, there's almost no chance to avoid rape scenes or even bad end. The guaranteed way to escape from enemies is using skill with the massive cost of EP, seriously limiting the way of battle. Pretty annoying. TIPS: - If you want to quick load previous savedata, press F5 to go back to title immediately. - After you defeat enemies, H scenes about that enemy will be added to recall system automatically, so no need to be defeated intentionally for collecting CG. - After being raped by enemies, Lyristia's sexual desire will raise. Before reaching the limit, the system will inform you with significant red text. You can locked it in the settings to prevent entering bad end. - Correct way to defeat last boss:
When the boss tell you to use tornado after your MP is full, [strike]just tell him to ♥♥♥♥ himself[/strike] normal attack for three times and use whatever magic except tornado, you'll get a new special magic after the boss losing balance, and you can successfully defeat him.

Intro
Magical Valkyrie Lyristia is one of those games that will instantly get your attention due to how high the quality of its art is, something that’s not very common in RPG Maker games. Nonetheless, some games focus too much on style and lack any substance to go with it. Is it this game’s case, or is this one a fun experience?
Pros
- The game’s art is outstanding - Decent story - Its gameplay is solid and has some interesting mechanics - Good voice acting
Cons
- The game is too short for its price - The eyecatches break the flow of the game
Story
The game puts you in the shoes of Rin Himesato, a high-schooler who becomes a magical valkyrie after Fakker, an evil organization that kidnaps women to steal their magical energy, kidnaps her friend and fellow magical valkyrie. I liked the story quite a bit. It’s enjoyable even if it’s the usual “an evil person kidnaps someone dear to the protagonist, and they have to rescue them” story. Also, they added title screens and eyecatches that give the game an original touch and an anime-like feel, though the eyecatches tend to break the flow of the game unnecessarily. Its biggest issue, however, is its length. It takes no more than 3 hours to finish it, and it feels like it ends prematurely. There are hints of something bigger going on in the game, foreshadowing the existence of some villains more important than the game’s final boss, but it just ends with a sequel hook once you beat him.
Gameplay
Combat works a bit differently than in your usual JRPG. At the start of each battle, you have a barrier that absorbs about 90% of the damage of each attack, but it breaks after receiving ten hits. While there are ways to restore the barrier, your character will receive a lot of damage if she’s attacked while it’s down, and she will be open to sex attacks too. On another note, all your attacks are available from the get-go, making it more important to learn how to use them efficiently than to level up mindlessly. Equipment management is also different in this game. Instead of getting better armor through the game, you obtain Phoenix Feathers and Energy Crystals which you later use to upgrade your basic equipment. Doing so will increase your stats and give you some benefits like reduced EP consumption and an increased chance of using Lyr Smash—an automatic attack that wipes out your opponents—at the start of a random battle. Last but not least, the game allows you to turn off random battles, though I recommend keeping them on because some boss battles are hard, and fighting them while being underleveled is almost suicidal.
Art
Artistically, the game is stunning. The characters are beautiful, and the animation of the title cards, eyecatches, and special attacks is splendid. You rarely see something made this well in RPG Maker games. Moreover, the use of soft colors gives the game a cute look that contrasts with the brutality of the sex scenes. They all play every time you lose a fight—save for one—and they feature non-con sex as well as degradation and humiliation, sometimes going so far you could only describe what happens to the protagonist as a fate worse than death. It requires an external patch to unlock the sex scenes, though, so playing the Steam version as it is should be enough to enjoy the game if you aren’t into non-con stuff.
Sound
The soundtrack is decent. While it doesn’t have any memorable tracks, they perfectly enhance the scenes they play in. As for the voice acting, the VA did a great job bringing the main character to life. The game may only have partial voice acting, but it improves the experience quite a bit.
Final thoughts
All in all, Magical Valkyrie Lyristia is a fun game with big production values and original features. However, it’s too short for its price, so I can only recommend purchasing it at a discount.
This review has been brought to you by the Lewd Games Reviewers. 我建议把制作人用扫堂腿放倒,然后叫十几个大汉围攻豪庭。

I almost finished writing review but then accidentally hit CTRL+W -.- I'm not writing whole thing again. Short version +cute art +some cg/sprite animations nice touch +cute girls +story pretty fun -gameplay can be annoying & grindy -scenes are all game-over bound -all scenes are ryona pretty much -abrupt story ending If i would be more polished non-h rpgmaker game. Then I would recommend this. If you want a H-game for personal time.... then this game is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥. One of games I would put neutral not thumbs up or down... 5/10 finished...
It's a great game. The art is good on the main characters, but the enemy's art is awful and bland. The game is also beyond unfinished. There are 4 generals, and your only able to defeat 1 of them. After that, the credits start rolling and you'll be confused as heck. If you do like games like this, might I recommend "Maken-shi Sara" It's an underrated game in my opinion, and definitely better than this one by a landslide
