Was having a good time the first 40 hours. Then I open the game only to find my saves gone to the either. The fact that theirs no options for back ups, no save states, no fail safe at all for this kind of thing and this can happen at random saps any and all motivation. And by the look in the forums my situation isn't unique. (the fact that they did noting to fix for mitigate this cripping issue says a lot. Update: found the backups. Kinda hidden in the appdata roaming folder but I got it back. gave me a scare.
Great polished incremental game with a fun story, very worth
Fun incremental game (not super idle heavy till mid-late game. Has a clear end point which is nice. Overall, I didn't feel like there were any 'walls' that a lot of incremental games get. When it gets hard to progress, retire and get those storyline bonuses. Even the ones that look small help.
Great story driven idle, worth playing and doesn't feel fully linear/NGU. 8/10
Best "Idler" I ever played (beaten only by its successor), but not so idle at all. Beating many bosses for the first time requires strategy and a little bit of patience. The difficulty is perfectly satisfying - everything seems hard at first, but is pretty doable if you give it some thought. The progression is very satisfying and before long you will be blasting through parts of the game, that seemed very hard at first. There are very cool endgame challenges and many cool items. My playtime is here is much lower than the one on my phone (which I do admit is the preferred way to play it). Tips for beginners: Try to focus on leveling your primary school pretty far before each retirement, complete as many quests as possible, but don't be afraid to retire every now and then, especially, when you are stuck. Thanks for this game. Really looking forward for another one from the creator 👋
Played this on mobile and i'm super happy to have it on Steam! but i'm not here for a positive review. Most progression is buried behind tedious micro-management. You spend way too much time manually crafting, grinding for materials or babysitting mechanics, and the prestige system barely rewards the effort. The UI is the same as mobile and navigating is a constant annoyance. There's clearly care put into the game, but it's hella slow and frustrating Gameplay. Only pick this up if you really enjoy grinding and don't mind endless busywork.
This game is a passion of love and it shows! I enjoyed every second of it! Thank you Maticolotto for all your hard work! Now on to the sequel! Can't wait to sink my teeth into it! I hope that you make many more games in the future! Life long fan here! If you like management games and becoming a master wizard this is the game to play!
