Note: Dead Multiplayer game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is an exceedingly poor quality 2D retro top down shooter with awful graphics and gameplay so bugged you'll be lucky if you can even play it. Which you can't anyway because there are no other players, because this really is a bad game. There's a magic spell theme to the shooter, and a mechanic where you can create your own spell attacks, but that's the kind of feature that needs a remotely tolerable game to sit on. Which is absent here. So, "Mages of Osmea" is a dead multiplayer game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every multiplayer exclusive game on Steam fails. Developers often assume just because they published their game, it's going to "go viral". I'm guessing this is a case of the developers making this game in complete isolation without even bothering to look at what other multiplayer games on Steam already offer. There's fierce competition in the multiplayer game arena... and I'm not referring to players fighting other players. There's thousands of multiplayer-only games but only a tiny handful of them are successful enough to attract and keep a wide player base. This game failed to compete and didn't get enough people to stay active. Despite being free, it did not have what it takes, it's as simple as that. This game lacks any meaningful solo content. The developer tried to use other players as a substitute for real work like level design and story, gambling that just because their game exists, it's going to magically pull the entire player base of Counter-Strike 2 over to this failure instead. They lost that unwise gamble. A game with no players and little to no solo content is a dead game. Developers need to stop relying on players as a substitute for real content, just because they feel creating genuine narrative, level design and so on is "too hard". Despite not being in Early Access, it's obvious this is an incomplete product. Developers have an obligation to deliver complete, not partially done products to gamers, that shouldn't be controversial. Whatever the excuses may be, it does no service to gamers for incomplete products polluting Steam like this. It makes it harder for gamers to find complete games, and it makes it harder for ethical developers who do the right thing to find their audience. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. That doesn't mean it's okay not to bother! Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money on high end gaming rigs for a reason. And that reason is not so they can look at lazy, phoned-in half efforts like this. Let's look at the price and what kind of value this actually offers gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. A peak of 7 concurrent players (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead.

doesnt let me play at all, as soon as the game starts, it instantly puts me into a respawn timer and after the timer goes to zero nothing happens, i dont see my character at all and i cant move or do anything
Игра очень понравилась, выглядит перспективно Если разработчики пофиксят баг, что никаким образом нельзя ничего делать, кроме того, чтобы бегать и уклоняться, станет ещё лучше.
after i installed it at the recommendation of a friend, it asked to pick a profile. selected first one and started the game and immediately disappeared and got the respawning message and couldn't do anything. the spell menu also is completely broken as it keeps showing errors. hopefully it gets resolved because on start i couldn't play
It's kinda fun actually. A little brutal to learn but fun. The forge should fill up with pieces as we return them, maybe like a pie chart.
