The art is an acquired taste and the music, well... the effort is appreciated but I set it to mute after about a half hour. And it gets stale pretty fast, there's not much to unlock and you'll grind through the same 10 enemies over and over again. But that's not really important. Game puts a fresh spin on deckbuilding that I've not ever seen done before and it's worth the price of admission just to experience that. Strikes me as a great POC begging to get spun out into something more expansive/polished.
Pretty fun puzzly roguelike. Has an interesting and unique way of progressing your build through the game, takes some getting used to but allows the right level of tactical vs strategic gameplay and getting a really good combo feels great.

Bonjour.
A really unique game that provides a lot of depth with interesting decisions to be made every turn. If you are a fan of roguelike deckbuilders, strategy, puzzles, etc. you will probably love this once you understand the mechanics.
This is a hidden gem. The core gameplay is exceptional: - Incredibly addictive - Tile-based mechanics add a huge strategic dimension - Great variation between runs - Skill can overcome bad luck (I guess a perfect player could achieve 95%+ win rate) - Surprising depth with diverse build options But the peripheral elements are lacking: - No proper difficulty curve makes early experiences very frustrating - Basic visuals (While slightly better than shown in the store screenshots - please update them!) If you don't mind pushing through the learning curve, you'll discover something special here. Recommended.
Summary: I'll make my most important points up front- this game has a unique style that doesn't fit neatly into existing genres and the gameplay contains a surprising depth that belies its superficial simplicity. I strongly recommend it to anyone who values adaptive, strategic gameplay over cutting-edge graphics and special effects. Gameplay: I am 40 hours in and just scratching the surface of possiblities. Each run vastly differs from the previous, and success requires expertise and familiarity with the game mechanics so you can strategize properly from the very beginning. You can easily get hundreds of hours out of this game. I'm not going to lie- this game is hard at first. You have to pay attention to the newbie tips in order to learn all of the mechanics, and it takes some experimentation to understand the nuances of each tile. I have only won a few times, but even when I lose there is a level of satisfaction that I learned more about how the pieces interact and that my next run will be better as a result. However, it can occasionally be hard to understand why a play didn't work the way you thought it would. With some mosaics and encounters, there are so many factors that it's easy to overlook something, making it that much harder to find your mistake retrospectively. Aesthetics: The graphics, animations, and music remind me of the earliest PC games, but that doesn't detract from its charm. As a one-man project, this game feels like a DIY passion project in a good way. There is an underlying current of quality and talent which becomes more and more apparent as I continue to play and understand the game.
Small game, so small review. For me it is a no as it is like doing math.
Dream Quest and Madcap my two all time favorite games. Now if we could get madcap on iphone I would play it all day at work! Love this game, The Developer is doing a great job adding features and improving.
Actually really good! Very clever game, fun to play. Definitely a case where all the effort was put into the user experience, rather than graphics. Would definitely recommend.
Very smart and unique concept, love it. It is a bit rough but the gameplay is top. Every game you start with 2 random trait making every run different. The game is difficult and it really is a challenge to win a run but when you do it is very rewarding.
