Mad Experiments: Escape Room

I played this solo; which might make me too critical, as it is clearly intended for multiplayer. Still, I can't honestly recommend based on my experience with the game. There are three challenge rooms, with little replay value, and each one is intended to be finished in under an hour. The puzzles are competent but nothing special. There's a very vague story but it's not central to the experience. I didn't hate it or find it offensive, but I did find it forgettable.

Runs well, chapters feel distinct, and Linux is supported. It’s a clean experience technically and each room has its own flavor, though I do wish there were more chapters to better justify the price for a whole group.

Quality co-op escape rooms with good bang for the buck. The themes are fun, the puzzles have bite.

One of the better multiplayer escape-room games on Steam, but don’t expect tons of content. The presentation is strong and the group experience is the main draw.

I wish I could recommend this. Some of the rendering errors made me mistake puzzle clues for video bugs and vice-versa. A couple puzzles didn't make sense even after they were explained to me. I salute the ambition of a multi-player escape room game, but the effort didn't add anything (to these puzzles) I didn't already have with a friend sitting in a chair next to me. I will look forward to PlayTogether's next attempts.

Played MEER with my girlfriend for a date night wine, puzzles, and plenty of laughs. We actually ended up arguing for an hour over one puzzle, then high-fived when we finally solved it. That’s exactly what I want in a co-op escape room: teamwork, tension, and triumph. The atmosphere is perfectly eerie without being horror, and that final puzzle in Chapter 3 gave us chills. Can’t wait for more!
