Absolutely darling!! I love the bite-sized nature of the levels. It felt like the game was giving me an out any time I need to step away. That said, I was having such a lovely time with it that I just kind of barreled through it! Listen, I am not very good at platformers, so there were levels that were triiiiiicky. However, it never felt unfair or overly aggravating! I also liked the opt-in challenge of collecting the letters (I did make sure to get them all!), and the story wrap-up at the end tied everything together so well. And of course, like everyone is saying: the aesthetics are immaculate. Excellent low-poly style, creative environments, and super cute character. It took me about 4 hours to beat, so I would definitely recommend any and everyone give this a chance if they want a nice time!

while this is a pretty short game (you can beat it and get the true ending in something like 2 hours) don't let that discourage you from picking this up. this game can stand among the 3d platformer greats. the simple mechanics of a double jump and a twirl attack might sound bare bones, but the level design makes perfect use of these tools to make each level feel unique. there is a remarkable amount of depth involved in making good time, and the game does not make it easy, especially in the later levels. getting s ranks requires exploring each level to the fullest and while some are simple offshoots with more difficult platforming, some are cleverly hidden to reward those that turn each level over looking for secrets. The sense of speed you can get while hopping through each zone can be quite exhilarating. The game wears its sonic inspiration on its sleeve, but definitely doesn't feel like a rip-off, as the game isn't quite as fast as sonic to make its tight precision platforming more feasible. All in all, this game is one of my favorites i've played this year. I look forward to seeing more from the dev.
