Fun, short 3D platformer. Very well-polished. My only complaint is sometimes trying to traverse narrow platforms is a bit tricky.
Got all achievements. The game's a bit daunting at first, but oh so satisfying once you learn the layout for each stage. I didn't find it hard to master at all, as the main barrier is learning each stage. Keep in mind that Hana's campaign is the most fleshed out, with the collab characters lacking the minor extras she has. They do each have a stage unique to them, however, with Toukie's being a massive pain due to how large it is. I found Toree to be quite fun, but Toukie was overall boring compared to Hana and Toree. I'm hoping the Accel Coda update will address this. Since we're getting more characters and stages (some of them original characters), it stands to reason that they would have the same extras as Hana does currently. I know it's minor, but every bit of content counts when the game is entirely built on replayability. All in all, a damn good time. You'll get quite a lot out of it for £5 if you enjoy precision platformers.
I don't have too much to say about this. It is a very simple 3d platformer. The levels are pretty well designed. It's inexpensive and worth the price. In terms of difficulty I'd give it a 3 out of 10. You can easily 100% this without using much brainpower. Nice little game to chill to.
Cool game, great Dreamcast vibes, it was a great pleasure to play.
Lunistice is a fast-paced 3D platformer with fun movement, charming visuals, and short levels that make it easy to pick up and play. The game focuses heavily on speed and momentum. Personally, it sometimes felt so fast that I was reacting more than carefully planning my moves. That gives the game a chaotic, energetic feel that I enjoyed, even if it occasionally felt less skill-focused than some other platformers. One thing I especially liked is that collectibles are optional. You don't need to gather items to unlock the next level, so you can simply enjoy the platforming and keep progressing if that's what you want. Overall, it's a polished and stylish platformer with a lot of personality. If you enjoy speedy movement, colorful visuals, and straightforward progression, Lunistice is easy to recommend.
cute game 8.5/10
I've played this game more since my initial review and I've decided to change it to a thumbs up, but there are some serious issues with it. The movement controls feel very loose, making the platforming less enjoyable than it should be. The level layout is confusing and there is no way to tell which route is the critical path, which makes collecting the items an annoyance. After you clear all of the stages (which won't take long), you unlock two bonus characters (from other games, which is cool). But they aren't very interesting to play with and kinda feel like gimped versions of the default one. Ultimately I recommend this because it's colorful and pleasing to look at (and runs flawlessly) on the OLED Deck, and it's very cheap. The music is nice too! But it's not a very well-designed or interesting platformer, alas.
This was cute and fun!
