About

Take on the role of David De Silva, a simple man who did the right thing in an impossible situation, only to find himself the first mayor of lunar city Artemis.

It’s the year 2131. Earth’s nations are united under a singular federation, and the people of this new society are subdued into practicing their professions under a new and undeniably competent supervision: The AIA.
Artificial Intelligence Absolute is a next-phase AI model that has become a global extension of the United Earth Federation in governing the people of the planet.
All human endeavor is surrendered to the oversight of algorithmic perfection in order to ensure flawless operation. There are many that dislike the idea, and for them, there is a place of refuge; a safe haven.

Artemis, originally built as an extraterrestrial mining outpost, is now the de facto promised land for a new way of life, a step back in the right direction, a self-proclaimed course correction toward the natural way of things.
For some time now, the dynamics between the United Earth Federation and Artemis have been in growing turmoil, and it will only get worse if the status quo persists.
Humankind is at a crossroads that will shape the future of the species.
And you, David De Silva, are a simple man.
Or you were, until today …

Engage in detailed discussions with various faction representatives to gather insights on matters concerning the city’s future. Serve as the final decision-maker on how to allocate the city's limited resources.

Choose between independence and alliance by siding with either the Lunar Independence Movement or United Earth Federation. Invest in the city’s living conditions to increase your popularity, or focus on the long-run and invest in self-sustainability, but brace for possible negative outcomes.

Decide whether to allow advanced AI systems into your city for the sake of convenience and comfort, or denounce the digitalist future and preserve the natural way of living. Beware: the people of Artemis do not take kindly to AI, even if it’s for their own well-being.

Discover how the hidden ties that bind humanity’s fate are paving the way toward an inevitable future, and the dark agenda behind the rapid rise of AI.
Dare to investigate the bloody cases of AI mind-reaping that riddle the back alleys of your city, or keep your nose clean at the risk of innocent lives.

The Devs worked hard to clear bugs, and now what we have is a good, well-written political simulation.

Juego muy slop la verdad, mucho hype para nada al final

Nice idea!
Do not buy this game; it is bugged and frustrating ; not that fun in the end. Not worth its price.
interesting concept, but still quite unpolished with typos and grammer. Resource balancing is off too - even if you keep equal stocks of both resources as the game recommends, you can't get most of the projects which leaves people disappointed and me frustrated.
Following the demo, and a first play, I should say: go for it. Play it at least once. I'll play it a second time. There are stange things happening. Not too sure about the correct sequencing of reports and decisions. I needed to restart the game only once.
Game has been bricked every since I purchased it, I am unable to make it past the "create new save" option on the main menu, the game just becomes a black screen. There was no solution available on either the Discord or Steam discussion threads. I cannot recommend a game that doesn't even start at this point in time lol.
Lunar Ascendant presents itself as a politics simulator set in the somewhat-near future. You manage two specific (yet somehow generalised) resources throughout the game, make choices and slowly watch the world around you burn. I wouldn't say that it's a politics simulator. To me it feels more like an interactive novel. The choices are ultimately stats whose impact on the game breaks down into increasing/decreasing particular values on a graph depending on what you wish to change. The events and reports either tell you what you did or didn't do, nothing happens except a few values being adjusted on the aforthmentioned graph. It seems as if the game is full of events and news articles until the 5th chapter, yet they seem to vanish and get sidelined, decrease in volume, after the chapter takes its course. What used to be 3 or 4 events in a turn changes to a singular-focused storyline once you reach this point and wrap your head around the universe the game's set in. Sure, the game has its flaws, sure the dialogue sometimes doesn't make sense thanks to bugs and sure AI's been apparently used for some of the textures (kind of funny given the game's pushing narrative lol). But to me, it boils down to the story. Once you stop comparing this artpiece to the giant that is the fleshed-out, polished Suzerain, you come to enjoy it for what it feels like (to me at least,) a novel. A story that's being told for you to hear out and observe. A interesting story at that. We're talking about a passion project from a bunch of people that were brave enough and determined to develop something throughout the span of multiple years. An Indie studio's debut. I wouldn't say they ultimately failed in making a game. Quite contrary, they've been pushing out hotfixes left and right to try and correct what the community has pointed out and that tells you that they care. All in all, if you're going to dive in with your expectations not set astronomically high, and maybe wait for a bit, there's definitely an enganing narrative to be explored under the, pesky, initial layers of this game.
