About
“Frontier Legends is an open-world adventure that combines survival, crafting and exploration in a Wild West setting. You arrive as a new settler on the frontier and are left to fend for yourself as you learn the ways of the West. Tend to your needs, manage resources and explore the wilderness; you just might unravel some of the land’s mysteries along the way.
Over time, you can build your own settlement, defend yourself from outlaws and bandits, form alliances, forge a reputation for good and bad and shape the path that will make you a legend. Do you have what it takes?”

Start with a small camp and grow it into a thriving frontier settlement shaped by your leadership. Recruit NPC settlers and assign daily work, farming, crafting, gathering and defense, to keep your town running. Lead well and your community thrives; neglect it and the frontier will catch up.

The frontier is unforgiving. Manage core needs and resources as you brave a harsh wilderness where the elements, wildlife and outlaws can turn a day trip into a fight for survival. Dynamic weather, day-night cycles and changing conditions require you to adapt every time you ride out.

Live your Wild West fantasy your way. Become a hunter, trader, builder, bandit, lawman or something in between. Your choices shape your reputation in the frontier.

Discover wild horses roaming the land, then tame and train them into trusted companions. Each horse has unique attributes and abilities, making them valuable allies and key for traveling, surviving and thriving in the frontier. When in danger, a good mount can be the difference between making it home or meeting the business end of a barrel.

Push beyond your settlement to explore the unknown and uncover the hidden secrets of the frontier. Take on quests, solve puzzles and hunt legendary treasures as you explore ancient ruins and forgotten camps. Every discovery can change your fate and get you closer to becoming a legend yourself.

Team up with others to trade, build and survive, or take the darker route: raid, betray and fight your way to a bigger slice of the frontier. Embark on your adventure with other players via cooperative multiplayer, participate in community events and compete in seasonal challenges to earn unique rewards and recognition.
Are you ready to become a legend in the Wild West? Forge your path, conquer the frontier and write your own story in Frontier Legends.

**Not Recommended** I usually try to judge a game based on what it offers rather than what people say about it, but after my experience with Frontier Legends, I honestly cannot recommend it. The first problem is performance. Looking at the trailers and screenshots, I genuinely wonder what kind of PC those were recorded on. I don't have a low-end system, yet my framerate rarely went above 40 FPS. Normally 40 FPS should still be playable, but the game felt sluggish and poorly optimized. What was shown in the promotional material did not match my actual experience. The second issue is the development history of this studio. One of their previous games launched in Early Access in April 2023 and, years later, is still in Early Access. Then they released another game in October 2023, which is also still in Early Access. Now they have released Frontier Legends. This raises an important question: why continue releasing new projects when previous ones remain unfinished? If two earlier games are still not fully released after several years, how can players have confidence that this project will be completed in a reasonable timeframe? Personally, I think the studio should focus on finishing the games they already sold before starting new ones. Even more concerning is that these are relatively simple, cartoon-style games, yet they still remain unfinished after years of development. Another thing that left a bad impression on me was the way criticism appears to be handled. I noticed discussion threads being locked and players being banned from discussions. Wanting clarification, I joined the developer's Discord server and asked a simple question: why are players receiving permanent bans for posting negative feedback or criticism about the game? Instead of receiving an answer, I was immediately banned from the Discord server as well. Whether the developer disagreed with my opinion or not, banning someone simply for asking a question is not a good look for any community. I also strongly disagree with the current state of the Early Access system in general. When I was younger, people were paid to test games. Today, players are often paying full or near-full price to test unfinished products. In my opinion, that model benefits developers far more than customers. The price being asked for Frontier Legends simply does not match the quality, content, optimization, or development progress that I experienced. Combined with the performance issues, the unfinished state of the game, the studio's track record, and the way criticism appears to be handled, I have very little confidence in this project's future. I would not recommend buying Frontier Legends at this time, and based on my experience, I cannot say I would recommend it in the future either. Buy at your own risk.
ok, so I'm going to get on a soap box for a minute. Last night I was so excited, I had a spare $25 and I wanted this game.. but lately I've been paying attention to reviews before I buy.. so I read the first 5 reviews.. all negative, all "don't waste your time or money", it's all assets, and a cash grab yada yada yada.. I took it to heart and bought 2 different games. What I should have done was waited until some trusted game reviewers released video's. Like GameEdged and KAGE848. Let me tell you what I didn't see. I didn't see a lot of assets that weren't refreshed, and made a part of this world. I didn't see a lot of hang ups, or jerky play. What I saw was a game that could have been Wild West Dynasty. What I'm seeing is a game set up like Medieval or Sengoku Dynasty.. What I see, is a great Wild West survival/craft/build game that I'm going to thoroughly enjoy. Should you buy this game? If what I described is your bag, then go for it. If it's not, then yes, don't waste your time or money. But if you truly enjoy Dynasty style games, this IS the game for you. Instead being medieval, feudal, secret island bases, or stranded on an island after a plane crash (how many times have we seen that?), it's in the early American Wild West... It's a survival build game.. it's not Fortnite, or PUBG.. it's a really decent game that I am and will thoroughly enjoy. Before you decide though, do yourself, and these devs a favor.. Go and watch videos of reliable player/reviewers, and see that the game is truly like. ok, off my soap box now.. I got a farm to build!! :-D
That's 30 minutes I'm not getting back :( I've been looking for a western survival/building game and this sounded like it could be it. Unfortunately it's very, very janky, even for early access (I have a bunch of EA games that, while sometimes rough, at least feel like games) Graphics are basic and blurry at best, even on Epic, controls are sluggish and sometimes just plain unresponsive, gunplay is awful, and it's clearly AI voicing etc, which isn't a huge issue but should ideally be clearer what you're getting. If it improves significantly, and the dev shows they will stick with it and not just grab the cash I might come back, but £20+ for something which should be sub £10 in my opinion, I don't have high hopes
This is sad to say - game is not ready for even early access - I really wish is was... Janky mechanics bugged quest insta deaths low mobs hard to kill very little animal life and more - I hope can change this review down the road
Unfortunately there is nothing there. The video at this page shows a bunch of people and when you get in game it is completely empty. There is almost nothing to do. Hunting is abysmall (i used 15 arrows to kill one deer. I couldn't put the campsite down no idea why since the game did not explain anything. Maybe in the future it will be better but for now it's not worth anything. Here is a video about the start of the game : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utOKVlyBBGQ Also a key giveaway if you are feeling particularly masochistic this fine day.
You can make a game from diarrhea? I didn't know it was possible. Somehow they stuck a diarrhea squirts together and made a game. This game is a blueprint on Unreal store called WesternLogTown. It's free to anyone. That's what this is. Just download it and you can save the money of buying this game. This isn't even a game. It's a blueprint that runs without any effort or creativity involved and they made money from it. Don't worry about the AI art. That is actually the only part of the game that looks good. I killed every single NPC in the game "all 6 of them" Got bounty. No one cares. I robbed every cash register and safe. No one cares. I did all this at a solid 80fps at 1440p. My computer is so powerful it can predict the future yet it gets 80fps in a game that should be able to run on a Nokia phone from 2001. Then there is the nausea I felt. Not from motion sickness. It was how much they are selling this game for. I am about to refund but I had to say something because right now I feel like I am sterile. I think this game has made me sterile. Highly recommended if you don't want kids.
first quest off the train was bugged, tech tree has like 15 things in it, died randomly for no reason, never even managed to see a single animal before i refunded
Contrary to other reviewers, I saw plenty of animals in game. They just take a lot to kill (for wolves, you'll end up resorting melee combat and dying several times before you finally kill it). Invest in strength points early if you want to have a chance against them. I had to abandon chasing after a stag after 5 arrow hits (incl. head shots) to fend off a wolf. Resource gathering and crafting feels dull and unrewarding. I don't feel invested in the world. That said, I have hopes the dev can turn it around. I'll come back in a couple of months and check how the roadmap is progressing. Hopefully something good comes out of the end product, but I have to recommend against the game just now. Current clothing is limited and would be nice to see a separate strand of 1. clothing with perks and 2. a visible layer for style

[th]The world[/th]The area is beautiful and feels authentic (plus pretty sky box). It's gorgeous.

[th]Combat[/th]Plenty of options to explore between melee and ranged. The AI behaviour is neat. There's no nuisance of finding blueprint parts in the world to force your hand in how you unlock new crafting options.Crafting doesn't feel engaging and neither does resource gatheringCampsites have a very limited build space - invest in buying land if you need space for crafting buildings and transport resources for this.

[th]Other[/th]Controls are fairly intuitive and no jankiness to movement (though controller support would be a nice-to-have option). Kudos to the dev for the little nod to Lee Van Cleef. The game currently feels overpriced - but hopefully the dev can make it worth the cost to games in due course. The game setting is beautiful but I don't feel like a part of it. I don't feel invested at all in the NPCs or settlements.

unplayable
I love where this is heading. We need a good RPG style survival-craft western game. I feel the negative reviews are mostly due to the price, for the current state it's in. Early Access should always be cheaper... playability expectations are high at $30. I can tell there is some heart being put into it, and love the framework they are building. So, I am giving it an enthusiastic thumbs up!
