About

Sir Solomon and the saviors of light depart Castle Cornelius to free Princess Tsuna from the grasp of the evil Devil Lord!
But the knight is worried... what if after being freed, the princess falls in love with one of his friends instead of with him?
So he does what anyone would do when blinded by love, and ditches his friends!
Solomon ventures into the Devil Lord's castle alone, vowing to make the princess his.
LABS and Matt Kap present Lovish, an outrageous 8-bit-styled action-adventure game! Venture through a series of bite-sized rooms, slicing up monsters, collecting items and getting to the exit! After exiting each room, enjoy a short event scene, in which anything could happen! Will you find an item? A random encounter RPG fight? Will the world get destroyed? Find out by conquering each room of the Devil Lord's castle, one challenge at a time!

50+ fun levels to play through, each with multiple objectives!
Wacky randomized event scenes between levels with hundreds of outcomes! You never know what you're gonna see next!
Collect a variety of items to upgrade Solomon's abilities, or expand the game in meaningful (and unmeaningful) ways!
Spend your pennies (in-game currency to be clear, no microtransactions here) in the in-game shop!
100+ characters, some of which were designed by world-famous manga artist Ryusuke Mita (Dragon Half)
An exciting, 20+ tune soundtrack by Matt Kap (Castle In The Darkness, Astalon: Tears of the Earth)
Beautiful human-artist-made pixel art! Even the in-game AI art is drawn by a human person!
More secrets than ever before! (But this is the first game in this series, so that doesn't mean much, I guess.)
Unexpected guest characters
And lots more!
So please, be a good friend, and help Solomon rescue the princess!

A short and sweet game with tons of bonus content. It's like Wonder Boy in Monster Land if it were Super Meat Boy.
As a 42 yr old gamer since I was 5, and grew up on challenging 2d platformers on the NES, I absolutely loved this game!! cant wait for the next game, and will definitely be checking out Matt Kaps other games
Solomon deserves every misfortune he gets
I like the game, it might not be the great adventure like his other two games, but it was fun to play. A simple platformer stage selection game with a simple premise of going to rescue the princess. I love all the events scenes that is shown off in the game and the 8-bit design is great looking. The game does have a few issues, one being the mapping for the controller cause I was having trouble using the down slash due to having the jump and attack button opposite side of each other. Another issue is the event is random and some completion requires getting certain events, hopefully the dev adds something to help get all the events by paying the coins you get in the game since you'll have a whole lot by the end. And maybe add something to help figure out which character your missing in the social media page on the phone. Other than that I think the game was fun, hopefully we will see more of Solomon in the next game and hopefully he finds true love.
Story gimmicks wear thin and some of the areas are impossible if you did not randomly decide to buy the right items first. Levels are not fun to slog back through.
So regarding the difficulty you could say it's somewhat like Super Meat Boy. Most of it is a breeze but if you plan on 100%'ing it (Getting all 3 browns/level), welp you're in for a ride. A fun one but also a sometimes frustrating one because the behaviour of some enemy types is random. Oh and the fact that you cannot skip already-seen screens which come after EVERY level, is somewhat annoying. However, game is still good.
Here's the definition of a game that strives for 8/10; Nothing more, nothing less. Really fun, cute, and goofy. You could play through this in a day and never really think about it again, but there's no denying that it was a fun day.
Pretty fun.
Fantastic single-screen puzzle-platformer, with a carefully managed difficulty curve through challenge addition (new enemy patterns and level design tricks), unlocks that expand your moveset, and additional objectives to complete in each level. The rhythm is excellent, each level taking barely a few seconds, so there's a constant push forward to see "what's next" or "what we could do differently" when replaying a level. It's all excellently paired to dynamic chiptune and an aesthetic+humor that reminds me of Dr.Slump, keeping the whole thing very light and humorous. All in all: an excellently breezy "single playthrough" that's satisfying on its own, coupled with an additional layer of unlocks that keep you going for a while if you intend to see it all and grab every crown and moon. Hotly recommended.
Been picking this up on my Steam Deck for short bursts that then become huge time sinks trying to get 3 crowns on each level. Hilarious post stage sequences and mechanically sound level design keep me coming back for more. Great game.
