Lost Wiki is another excellent entry into the "find the words, finish the sentences" library of truly unique games. It sits comfortably between the harsh art direction and rough details of Obra Dinn and the mechanics of doing research online of Roottrees are Dead, with a completely unique art direction, sound design, and interface. It's barebones enough to throw you straight into the world, and the solutions are relatively easy, which keeps you moving forward (unlike Obra Dinn and Roottrees, I never needed to take a break and come back later). The story is cohesive and complete, with a clear start and ending, and there are no loose threads. I hope there's a sequel. I will absolutely play it.
really had to rack my brain sometimes, also nice and creepy (:
So good! Amazing atmosphere. Intuitive interface. Fascinating depth and a compelling mystery to unravel Wiki-style.
A good mystery that doesn't overstay its welcome. I would love to have more mystery games like these
I love wikis and I love mysteries. The atmosphere was lovely retro. Lengthwise the game left me in a spot of wanting for more. If they release more of these types of games I would consume them as others might consume books of their favorite authors. Return of the Obra Dinn which is one of my favorite games feel very close to this experience.
Very well done, tidy mystery. About 1.5 hours of gameplay if you're familiar with the genre, but enjoyable and well crafted.
