simple game to kill a couple hours, nothing taxing about it a nice unplug your brain game
Highly enjoyed this game! It's nothing like what I thought I was going to get from the store page, and yet it ended exactly how I expected (and honestly hoped) it would. Just at the right points when it may have started slowing down a little, it rekindled my interest at just the right moments and ways. The music is just prominent enough to be a suitable score for a game such as this. If Point and Click is your thing, and you don't mind the grind, this is a game that will take you approximately 2-3 hours and is a very enjoyable experience. If you're interested in what you're getting into, this is a link to my playlist of the game on YouTube. Watch the first episode or two and see if you want to find out how it ends for yourself!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWCMam7c6mc&list=PLms5dWEn-gX1WCRks0u8wrys_G_aAzGfE&index=1

I tried out this game from a friend's recommendation. Also, I am a fan of Jeff Sproul's work on Twitch a few years ago. After a first few minutes of playing, I wasn't confident I would complete the game. A point-and-click game felt very limited but I gave it a shot. I think what drew me in initially was wanting to discover the scope of the game. Since the game opens up more pieces along the way, this would lead me to continue playing longer than anticipated. The more areas I realized I couldn't reach unless I collected items to craft some required pieces, the more the game sucked me in. When I found the ship I became committed to finishing the game. There are three items that bothered me though. First, there's far too much literature to read for my taste. There's a ton of scrolls and I damn near skipped every one of them. The scrolls are supposed to help you find hidden areas, understand how things work, and build a story but I found you can go far by just clicking all over the screen until you find something by accident. Unfortunately, at some point in the game, I was stuck because I had not yet discovered an area that would otherwise have been advertised by the scrolls. I am far too lazy to read over that much text (45 scrolls!) to identify this last spot. So, I cheated by watching someone else's video to find the one area I had not clicked all over the place and that led me to where I needed to go next. Initially, the second complaint is the stamina/sleep mechanic. I didn't really find it useful to the game at first and it annoyed me a bit during some of the necessary grinding. It does become relevant later as it becomes a mechanic for certain areas. Also, despite the stamina/sleep mechanic feeling annoying, it did break me out of my hyper-focus to grind. So, in the end, it worked out to be a good mechanic after all since it kicked me out of "grinding mode" and that is a good thing. My last complaint is the background music. It makes sense to have foreboding music when reading some scrolls that are relevant to the story. Then there are times where you are grinding or reading scrolls (informational only) and the same foreboding music feels unsuitable. Imagine playing the NES Zelda where the entire game was "dungeon" music. My feedback would be to switch background music or sounds according to the setting. At fishing areas, throw in some background sounds you'd hear for that setting. Underground areas, throw in something similar to a "dungeon" background sound.
Great game. I've spent 1.6 hours on it on the first day I played it. It's quite addictive if you like single player based adventure games. Overall, a really underrated game.
This game is nice and neat. It's mostly about gathering various resources to craft and sell. But it breaks this across a variety of areas and intersperses it with enough lore bits that it doesn't feel like a grind. It's just long enough to tell its story without the mechanics wearing out its welcome. Plus its free. So definitely give it a try.
Hero of The Kingdom的低劣仿制品。
Wonderful one player game. Relaxing and very interesting. Wish it were longer!
