About
«Lost Infinity» is a non-linear visual novel with thriller elements. Heavy, oppressive atmosphere, bleak landscapes of the future, a sense of longing and alienation, with a small and false ray of hope.
The world of dystopia: what is it like, and why did it become this way? It doesn’t matter much. What matters is who we remain within it: biological machines or humans. Here, there is no place for family, morality, or compassion. There is only the goal. A grand goal. But are we sure we know what we’re striving for? Do we even need it? And when will we catch even a glimpse of this all-consuming infinity?
The main character, Faith, wakes up in the evening in their apartment. An unknown desire pulls them outside today. There, they find the corpse of a beautiful girl. They had often come across dead bodies in this city before, but for some reason, today it felt wrong. Today, nothing will change. Today, nothing is certain. Today...

Lost Infinity is a gorgeous, short visual novel that delivers a powerful message through its 25-minute journey. Featuring multiple choices and two distinct endings, it has been thoughtfully translated into several languages. It feels like a masterfully crafted introspective science fiction short story from the 1970s. Sometimes, completely by chance, you stumble upon something that speaks your inner language so fluently; for me, this is one of those rare finds.

I didn't really get it? It was intriguing, and brought up topics about existentialism. But maybe this game is just too complex for me. If you are a more philosophical person, you may enjoy this more.
Because this was put together with the Ren'Py e-book construction kit, it didn't require any actual coding or development. It's a tool for failed authors to push their garbage high school anime club dropout fanfictions as games. Just like there's no professional writing here, there isn't any professional software development either. This Russian e-book is a cringey dystopian fan-fiction translated badly by Google Translate (which just makes the bad writing worse) where the author pretends to be edgy and write about how depressed they are. If I was so bad at game development I couldn't tell the difference between a book and a video game, I'd be depressed too. If I was so delusional that I would publish said book on Steam, I'd be inconsolable. Anyway, this is garbage. Visual novels/e-books are the worst way to try read a book (and they're always written far worse than real books too). Imagine reading your favorite book, be that War and Peace or Twilight (are you ok??), but you have to click the mouse for every single sentence that appears. You'd hate it. It's a garbage way to try read a book... and even if it wasn't, this still isn't a game. Now take that annoying clicking and add utterly cringey high-school anime club dropout writing to it. Real authors are published in print and found in Barnes & Noble. This garbage only ended up on Steam because they paid $100 to self-publish, because let's face it, professional publishers would not only reject this garbage they saw it, they'd take out restraining orders. Trying to address social issues through the medium of video games is misguided and can be harmful. While it's plausible to suggest the intention was noble, this can do more harm than good. Game developers are not professionals in areas of mental health and social problems, and when they use video games to pretend they are, this can cause far more harm than good. It's my opinion that it's improper to use video games to push political or social agendas. Apart from the harm such hamfisted attempts at addressing social problems can cause, this offers zero benefit to PC gamers. People suffering from health issues or other social problems should seek out professional help rather than going to crap shovelware video games attempting to get sales by exploiting such problems for their own benefit, as is the case here. This E-Book has been translated from some other language into English... badly. If this was done through Google Translate, Google Translate should feel ashamed of itself. Regardless, the language in this game is broken and will put off a lot of gamers. On the upside, the E-Book does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. Those technical flaws drag this E-Book well below the minimum quality standards expected of a modern PC game. The poor quality of this E-Book is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality E-Book is to be expected. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. Should you buy this E-Book? Is it among the best the Steam catalogue has to offer? Lost Infinity has the gamer gouging price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. There's enough defects and quality problems with this E-Book that it's really impossible to recommend to gamers.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this E-Book as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the E-Book (to date). Until this status changes, this E-Book will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this E-Book.
Прикольно, но без кринжового наставления в конце было бы прикольнее. и загадочнее
