A short game that involves very basic web searches (most of the time I didn't even need to read any info on the pages ) in order to answer what amounts to quiz questions. Interesting content but not really much of a game.
Not really a game but rather a 10 question trivia. The mistery of the Lost Cosmonauts is an actual theory that states that the USSR covered the deaths of cosmonauts in failed missions previous to Gagarin's. It was the reason I bought this. However, this game does not provide any background about it. It just presents 10 different one line "riddles" and provides a few words for hints over some overlay of static images. Then you are supposed to google it to figure out the answer and input it in a text box, that is all. It should not be called ARG, it is not such thing. However, for any achievement hunters out there looking for some easy ones, this can net you a 100% completition in less than half hout (or faster if you use a guide). I wouldn't recommend this, better to read any online articles on the subject

Квиз из 10 вопросов, который притворяется полноценной ARG про космос и теории заговора. 10 вопросов! Больше ничего нет.
It is more of a directed web exploration game but it is pretty cool. The subject matter is creepy enough. Practice your google-foo researching the space race. https://youtu.be/i5H4aRJigUs
Steam's algorithm recommended this as I've played 'The Black Watchmen' in the past. I won't be trusting those recommendations again in a hurry! I got this for 12 cents and to be honest feel as though I've been mugged in broad daylight. The entire 'game' consists of 10 riddles, the answers to which you type and hit enter or press the on-screen button. That's your lot. The ARG element is supposedly having to use various online research sources to piece together a complete answer. In reality, the riddles are on a par with tabloid crossword search difficulty; once you decipher them, you take the top result of a google search and that's your answer. I really can't recommend this unless you need a solution to insomnia or related maladies.
I'll keep the review as short as the game: There's not much to this game. It's a trivia game of sorts, with only 10 questions that don't change. You're presented with one riddle-like question at a time (which you must answer in order) where a lot of the challenge is to figure out what the authors are getting at in the first place. All of the questions focus on the Lost Cosmonauts conspiracy (if you're not familiar with it, look it up). What's unique is that it's asking you to leave the game, do research online, and provide the answer based upon your findings. This might be interesting if the answers that the game seeks weren't so rare, obtuse or redundant (e.g., looking for the name of a lake near some Gagarin tribute site? Well, this could be one of several lakes, depending upon the site...you'll just have to type in each one until you get the right one). In the end, it really just isn't very fun to play this game. It's nothing more than a research project, and a confusing one at that. This is too bad, because it makes this a real missed opportunity, because the subject matter itself is interesting. Used properly, it could be the basis for a really original and entertaining game. Unfortunately, it's not this one. The upside? If you stick it out and find all of the answers (this will take you about 30-60 minutes if you don't just read them in a walkthrough), it's an easy 100% to add to your list, so there's that. But, I would never recommend spending money on this game.
The screenshots are a bit misleading thinking this would be a fun puzzle game, going through alot of website like some sort of treasure hunt, well it isn't. You get 10 questions with 1 sentence and 2 pictures (sometimes they make sense, other times not) and you just google from there to find an answer, the answers can already be found on the front google search page or just 1 page further and within a minute. Only the last answer was so obscure even with the given hints, i googled so many Mikhail's, i even thought maybe the game meant Michael even with the date as hint i could not find one hit, and had to check the community guide for the answer. This game also heavily focusses on russian cosmonauts, so unless you are russian you most likely have little knowledge of it, and maybe little interest in it. I don't know what ARG stands for, still don't after this game, but it should be called a LGI (Let's Google It).
Quiz-like "game" with only 10 questions, which doesn't require much from you. Maybe if it was 20 years ago, as a free website thing - but it's not, and Lost COsmonauts ARG is totally not worth the money.
Will be Removed Soon
Starting on the 5th of March 2025, Lost Cosmonauts ARG will not be available for purchase. Thank you for the support.
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/933050/view/501692310177711421
Un simple quizz torché en deux minutes. Gratuit pourquoi pas, mais payant c'est non.
