for all its dreamy (nightmarish) and surreal atmo it is worth playing already. as a bonus, it's training the eyes for detail and you come to learn how to play close attention looking at devices, clocks, symbols, signs... in short, it is a work of art. no doubt about it. as for the difficulty, i imagined it much more difficult than it actually is.
once you start exploring and follow your logical conclusions as well as trust your intuitive wisdom - Kombinationsgabe und Bauchgefühl - Lorelei will show you the way. if i could i would put even more emphasis on it: DO NOT follow a guide. forget achievements. immerse yourself in the story and get lost in the atmosphere. The word 'eerie' was invented for stuff like that.
oh yes, before i forget: it is not a prerequisite but if you happen to speak a couple of languages - German, Italian, Swedish... - the game is even more enjoyable due to references, dialogues, names, scriptures etc. you come across during this mysterious odyssey.
