not a full on dwarf fortress or rimworld by any means but a lot of fun and well worth the price
keeps crashing lately
The game is fun and has lots of mechanics allowing for total control of your dwarfs would like to see more engineering machines and forges for stuff pullies mechanical advantage contraptions
Promising. Needs more work. Will keep my eyes on this.
Regrettably, there are not many colony management games with Z levels. Unfortunately, Lord of Dwarves suffers from a curse of abandonment that hurts the genre. The UI lacks scaling, equipment management is cumbersome, and excavators often get stuck in the terrain. I guess LoD did not receive enough attention to receive any further development. It's a shame, because the game is a few patches away from fit for purpose.
rimworld meets dwarf fortress love this game so far its a bit slow at times but makes up for it with the micro based needs of your cave system / fort. for a 1 man team this is a lil gem of a game!
***EDIT*** ***Changed to positive Due to Hardware malfunction on my end.*** *** I Bought this game during day 1 of some RAM Issues, the below review is what I experienced with horrible RAM issues that I have since sorted out but don't see the point in buying this game again as my 2 hours of testing time is up and I didn't see it being worth $20 even without performance issues.*** Super laggy and glitchy while in game, had performance issues to the point where the game was freezing every few minutes. I got a "Out of memory message" and was told to close the game so I did. When I looked at the usage it was using more than what ARK on Ultra uses.... bad memory leak there or something. Was fun for an hour, seems like it would be a lot more fun if the performance was polished a little more. Already played an hour and a half and I don't want to waste $20 just to see if its worth it to keep going.
Game is very similiar to Dwarf fortress in it's mechanics and my hope is it continues to improve
Wouldn't call it "release" quality. Graphics somehow look "wrong". UX could be better. But definitely worth a couple of hours of fun at this stage. I don't know if the developers is planning to keep working on it but if he does, this could be quite good.
This Game . . . it isn't bad, nor good. It keeps crashing for me. I played it for 11 hours so no refund, doesn't matter that it crashed 15 times during that time. low video memory? I have 8 gigs! How!?! 32 gigs system. . . I'm stuck with it. save your money! Wanna-be dwarven fortress
