A nice roguelike game, reminds me a little bit of Nuclear Throne, but even simpler. Could be longer, but it's worth a try it you like the genre.
I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate narrow corridors in this kind of games, the game itself isn't difficult, it would be really enjoyable if atleast this corridors were breakable like in Nuclear. The game is cheap, so I won't critizise anyting but that design choice.
I really enjoyed the game, it's fun and I had a good time playing it, I'll play the mod co-op with my friends soon Pros: The diversity of enemies and levels The pixel art is pretty cool Cons: The game is a little hard if you are not used to this kind of games
Simple roguelike with quite enjoyable gameplay. I liked the combat and progression. You can't go wrong with it at this price.
A Charming Action Rogue-lite game that supports local co-op. Note: In the video below I use Steam's Remote Play to play with someone across the country even though the game only supports local co-op. An amazing feature for sure! The game has multiple classes which you unlock by progressing through the game. The classes are quite unique so you should be able to find one that sits really well with your play style. FULL REVIEW & FIRST LOOK IN THE VIDEO BELOW https://youtu.be/75nBMOjfpcU
LootLite is a fun action arcade roguelike! You can pick between several classes, slay monsters, and upgrade your loot while trying to catch who robbed your house! It can be a new adventure every time with branching paths! For my full feelings please see this video https://youtu.be/WHVkbyM4f7E Thank you.
As a summarized rating, I'd rate the game about average from a ten scoring system, it has nice retro 8bit snes style aesthetic, and the co-op for me saved it a lot. Affordability helps for terms of it's cost, lowering expectation. It's score 6, but I expect that to go up if the game is polished in terms of enemy balance ( Mushroom enemies) But if you're a fan of roguelikes, and looking for something to play, and have money to spend. I'd have bought it. This game is cute, it has a nice aesthetic, but it isn't all great. The sound design could use more love, but for its price it's actually quite good. I'd especially recommend it, to play with a friend, especially using "Remote Play Together" with steam. I had a decent time. Although I admit, my attention span does not stick to things well, I got a few hours of enjoyment from it. It plays more like a traditional roguelike, with class unlocks available to you as you progress further into the game. There is cosmetics that appear much the same under various conditions, the length of the game overall isn't very long, the controls are a little strange at first. But the experience for me was best played on a controller. The camera is a bit weird and takes some getting used to when starting the game in multiplayer, and there is definitely same balancing and QoL adjustments I think that can be made to the game in terms of accessibility. Some enemies are a bit to difficult for me to handle, and maybe that was just my experience. It is pretty easy to get strong, but with my playstyle, being slow-paced, and careful movement. It was still pretty easy to die, if I made a heinous mistake, or got to cocky. Still, I liked the game enough to play it for 2 hours, however I also received the key for free, streamed it, reviewed it essentially. I was actually looking to buy the game anyway, but I got lucky with an opportunity to try it out, and experience it.
I like LootLite. I recorded some of my time with LootLite here, so if you value an audio + visual look and listen for review, please give the video a look. https://youtu.be/uJzULbReqng LootLite is an Indie Action RogueLike / RogueLite with a real Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past style visually, but packing Procedural Generation and Local Co-op Multiplayer as well.
LootLite is Like:
Think Rogue Heroes Ruins of Tasos, except that the whole world is procedurally generated, not just the dungeons, with less of a focus on item collection, and more of a focus on cleaving through your foes, and collecting coins to upgrade your character. Less exploration, more extermination! Coins are the currency here, as they let you choose to purchase new abilities from the shrines scattered throughout the lvls, in an arcade style that is very pick up and play. So, More smash ie, less explore ie.
Like Nuclear Throne?
Yes! Loot Lite is a bit like a fantasy Nuclear Throne, with the focus on fast play and unlockable classes, as in Loot Light, there are 7 classes to unlock, like the Dragon Knight, Assassin or Necromancer, that all play differently.
Branching Paths Plus Twin Stick Indie Action!
Plus, LootLight offers branching paths forward through the varied dungeon environments, like the forest, the graveyard, and the desert, as well as the literally trap filled dungeons: a classic is a classic after all! All of which are full of different and varied creatures ever growing in power as you venture further and further from your lonely house, all out to kill the heroic hero and take their stuff. All of it! With Controller support and Local coop, Loot Light looks like a fun 2D, Top down, Rogue Like / Rogue Lite, Perma Death rocking, retro Pixel Graphics Indie game. Cool. And it is. Care to checkout LootLite with me? Check out the video above to see this fun little co-op RogueLite in action, as actions often speak louder than words.
