[th]GOAL[/th] Use cargo vehicles to send goods from industries to towns that require specific goods by the amount through pathway routing from assigning locations for them to go to. Overall game playing consists of:

Earning money from delivering goods and finishing towns, and
Finish contracts that give money, new cargo vehicles, and increased max game speed as rewards
Replacing deteriorating vehicles through buying new vehicles to maintain speed.
Earlier game playing consists of:

Map scouting on finding new locations and identifying pathways that certain cargo vehicles can only travel on by weight capacity and restrictions
Deciding what towns to fulfill with the existing industries available to pick up goods to fulfill those towns
Unlock industries to buy from finishing towns that have existing industries
What pathways need to be fixed with goods, and
Increase the amount of ongoing cargo vehicles to speed up and do more tasks.
Later game playing consists of:

Planning on opening industries on finished towns to increase speed
Upgrading industries to produce goods faster with fewer supplied goods, and
Continually supplying industries to fulfill larger towns requiring multiple trips.

[th]EXPERIENCE[/th] Played puzzle games in general, but never played logistical games before on delivering goods from one location to another.

[th]SETUP[/th] Windowed mode, with town images and spin cargo disabled to reduce visual distraction, setting the map opacity to 30 to increase focus, and setting the sound effects to 19.

[th]CONTENT[/th] The first 2 maps, Flinders Island, and Isle of Man, are tutorial maps that don't have Steam achievements. ABC Islands gives a preview taste on regular LOGIstICAL gameplay, with 48 Steam achievements. XMas 2017 is a huge map with 517 Steam achievements which unlike most maps, delivered town goods from industries do not deplete over time, making this a more casual playthrough on not worrying about lost progress time-wise for not continually supplying goods to towns. This is based on build #820, which was released on November 19, 2019.

[th]ENDGAME[/th] In the Xmas 2017 map, finishing 3 huge countries with absurd goods requirements: United States, China, and Brazil.

[th]PLAYTIME[/th] 31,124 minutes overall, or 518.73 hours upon completing the game and getting all Steam achievements.

Flinders Island - 45 minutes.
Isle of Man - 173 minutes, or 2.883 hours.
ABC Islands - 4 hours for finishing the map, and 31 minutes for the rest of the Steam achievements in this map, totaling 271 minutes.
Xmas 2017 - 30,655 minutes, or 510.583 hours (part of it playing via the original LOGistiCAL game).

My positives

565 Steam achievements to get; such as finding locations, finishing locations, finishing regions after finishing specific locations within them, fixing specific roads, and upgrading industries in specific locations.
My negatives

The response times for interacting the main menu feels sluggish; not a strong first impression when first playing the game, and using my stronger gaming laptop made no notable difference.
Sometimes the main menu when starting up just doesn't appear, needing a restart.
Occasional and random brief freezes occur while playing; the brief freezes from auto-saving is expected as the game progresses, and is predictable and adjustable in the settings, it's the randomness outside that doesn't feel good.
The cargo vehicles can get in the way while clicking on a location; this is most annoying when issuing new routes.
The action of hold click and drag cargo vehicles to make routes gets a bit tiring over time; relating to the brief freezing, it feels bad when the mouse cursor while click holding suddenly jumps after the freeze clears up. Doing these required actions in general combined with using the zoom function and map moving with the edge scroll function increases the roughness gradually. There's no option that switches it to just clicking that would make it more comfortable.
The game pauses when the window is minimized; without any audio enabled and hearing vehicle noises and money earned, you can't tell if game is still running. While interpreting this as a safety feature for maps where town goods consumption exists outside of the Xmas 2017 map, I prefer an option to disable it in certain cases like idling for a town to finish.
Some locations are too close together, needing max map zoom to find them; this is rough when thinking you finished all of the locations in a region when expecting a special screen for region completion. One way to check for unfinished towns is selecting the 'Contracts' button, represented by paper and a red ribbon, and selecting the 'Achievements' tab to see what regions aren't finished yet.
There's no adjustable map scroll map speed option with the keyboard keys; wanted to use the keyboard for better comfort, but scroll movement is slower than using the mouse.
Clicking the blue circle with the 'i' from the town info panel, the 'Town Information' button, the game opens their own internet browser of a Google Search results page with the search query of the accompanying location name; while intended for those wanting more info of the location it's based on, I wish the game gives a warning and a confirm button due to accident potential. I'm unsure if it's better for the game to open the user's preferred browser or not, but I prefer using a different internet search engine.
The debug.log file grows over time while playing; found in the local game files, this can grow to gigabytes, worrying for those with low hard drive space. It's safe to delete it while the game's closed.
My eehs/neutral feelings

When going to the main menu or pressing the F1 key, the game opens the developer website's homepage; while it's nice to see game-related activity outside of Steam, I have security concerns on when the website disappears, or gets hijacked and used for malicious purposes; lacking a disable option, I just quickly close that window.
There's no way to plan advanced actions for the cargo vehicles beyond the simple routing on constantly going from one location of picking up goods and dropping the goods off in one location because it is inherent to how the game is designed and played; there's no way to tell a cargo vehicle to automatically follow a route when an industry is below a certain amount of goods for example, as you'll have to tell explicitly what to do if it isn't a repeated previous action.
The scoring system seems neat, but don't really pay attention or actively seek for a best score.
LOGistICAL: ABC Islands is an alright to good intro to the LOGistICAL series since it's free to get: 'Good' as in the tutorial maps and sample taste map showcase the first LOGistICAL gameplay style, and 'alright' as in while I enjoy the huge Xmas 2017 map, the lack of town goods consumption is an exception in the series. I wanted to play this one instead of the other packs or even the original LOGistICAL due to the tutorial packs, and then I got attached to having to finish the Xmas 2017 map. I anticipate most of what I said with LOGistICAL: ABC Islands will also apply with the first LOGistICAL game and related content. I enjoyed LOGistICAL: ABC Islands over time that it made me realize why those goal-oriented Minecraft modpacks are so engaging to play with from watching people play them, and playing them myself: the enjoyment of gathering resources and getting tools to get more resources faster or get more difficult resources.
yes yes yes yes it's very good game

A must own for Achievement Hunters!
