Lobster Empire is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. It's a mobile ported business simulator/clicker with a lobster fishing theme, presented in part as a retro pixel JRPG (weird combination). Maybe inspired by Deadliest Catch or some deep seated love of lobsters by the developers, or maybe the boss said he wanted a mobster game and they misheard him and made a lobster game. The game is reasonably sophisticated with a few considerations that you need to make around hiring security, following the law with regards to catch limits (or you can break the law and risk getting fined), as well as XP/advancement system for your staff. You also get weird lobster facts every now and then as you catch rare lobsters. On the flip side, resolution is fixed, the soundtrack is bad, the dialogue is a pretty bad english translation, but the killers are the ugly retro pixel graphics and the insane $14.50 price tag for a mobile game.
Nice game for Mobile but not PC worthy.
The whole logic of the game resembles a lot more a Mobile game then a PC game. You have to wait X time in order to get forward in the game, in the mean time you have nothing to do and there is no way around it. Its somewhat of a Mobile clicker game... The base idea is good and would work if it would give the player actually something to do while you waiting insted you in my case is was in-game for 16hours, actuall playtime was maybe 3 hours the other 13 hours i basically was waiting for the game to prefors a task (getting to and back from the Sea). Would be much more fun if you would not spend 80% of the game time, waiting for something to happen in the game. At some point i did not even wanted to go out to the Sea as it ment again waiting for a 2minutes and rather i clicked around eventually realising there is no way around waiting for 2 minutes every turn as no Fast Forward function is provided. In conclusion, nice idea but bad execution therefore i do not recommend this game.
Selve spillet er greit nok, men det er svært fort gjort å gå i minus ved et lite uhell. Da har du ingen mulighet til å gjøre noe som helst. Etter det er du låst fast helt til du er i minus 10000
Very basic game
