Really enjoyed this game. Looked forward to playing it every day..... Except today I logged on and found that everything I had got wiped. Says I played 170 hours but I have no progress or anything. My sect is still there, but everything else is gone. Was working towards Earthly Tribulation, now I have nothing and no way to recover. All soul progress gone. Not worth trying again. What's the point of making a manual save backup if you can't retrieve it? Very disappointed. Really kinda broke my heart today.
This is a 'yes... but' First few hours are boring, just screens with bars, then you get to a place where you are playing for 5-10mins and then using offline gains for the rest of it due to time periods needed to move forward Do your first rebirth as fast as you can and pick the option for the 2nd soul that does actions at 50%, it will change the game Game becomes more fun after that, and with the new Sect stuff adds more things to do so i'll recommend it on the condition that: You already played Xizhen Idle (english mode available for it in beta branch once you buy it) and have nothing further to do in that game (has more action stuff/stuff to do there, i got 300+ hours in that game) This is like a lite version of that game without the action/movement bits, so i hope the Dev here plays that game and gets more inspiration to add stuff to this game
This is way too slow-paced, even if running speedhack at "200x" AND giving yourself infinite gold after the first rebirth. The cultivation content is quite good though, and there's lots of it! At this price point, the amount of content is actually insane. Unfortunately, most of the rebirth bonuses don't contribute much to the next playthrough's progression speed, and in the end I felt disappointed when I had unlocked all the relevant ones in my last playthrough. This combined with the poor UI/UX/QoL makes me not recommend it in its current state. If I could give a neutral review, I would do that instead. The dev seems pretty active though, so maybe at least the UI/UX issues could be fixed eventually. Basic stuff like pressing a key to sell the hovered item instead of clicking a toggle in a popup menu, which you also have to click a toggle to open. Also, the herb garden reward popups are really annoying when automated, and the way the popups are implemented (just stacking more text into the current one instead of replacing it), eventually crashes the game if you don't close them.
Idle Cultivation is a fun and relaxing idle game. It can take as long or be as quick as you are willing to let it. I especially like the way different aspects of the game compliment each other, while being wildly different in how they are played. This is a successfully ambitious game in the Idle genre, and an easy recommend.
This is legitimately the best idler I have ever played. Super addictive and doesn't stop me from playing other games either since it requires so little of my RAM. It might not be a realistic desire, but I hope it keeps growing bigger forever lol. Seriously this sect expansion alone has fully recaptured my attention in an inescapable chokehold. Great job!
The game is quite interesting. There is a lot to max out as you have to undergo reincarnation and get soul perks. I cant wait for the dev to make Idle Cultivation 2!
Most similar game mechanically is Melvor Idle. This is like that in a lot of ways, though obviously it has a very different set of flavor and themes. Would honestly recommend playing that first unless something about this appeals to you in particular. However, Cultivation Idle is a pretty good and cool incremental/idle game. The developer is chill, working hard on tweaks and updates.
The game data wiped after 40 hrs. Waste of money and time.
I’d recommend Idle Cultivation to anyone who wants to give the xiuxian genre a try. It’s a lovely little idle game that clearly isn’t built around heavy monetization or extreme addiction systems. Instead, it lets you play at a casual pace and simply enjoy the journey. Reaching immaterial realms doesn’t happen overnight, which makes it feel earned rather than rushed. 我希望向所有想尝试修仙挂机类型的人推荐这个游戏。这是一款可爱的挂机小游戏,显然不是为让玩家氪金或极度成瘾构建的。相反,它让我以轻松的节奏玩游戏并享受过程。
Surprisingly addicting and involved but not in a bad way. I still don't understand everything which keeps me playing!
