Living the Nightmare is a fast-paced, turn-based, Horror Roguelike about a Slasher who just met his end. Be the Faceless, a Killer slain by a would-be victim and cast into a dark, purgatorial realm. There may be a way out... but there's a lot of monsters to turn inside out first.

This game has a really nice style to it and the gameplay is competent, some of the bosses are quite well made. but the level design is really lacking and samey, making it not as replayable as it should be.
Its "Jason goes to Hell" the tough and brutal true rougelike but the game really starts in hell. Its a fun and brutal game where you gotta be tactical and smart with every move you make (and also have a healthy luck with the R&G gods). The art and design of the demons is really cool, going for more grotesque worm and decay monsters then old school horned demons. I wish the characters were actually animated and that we would get more "copyright free" versions of slasher villains. For example he could do his version of Freddy but he does more magic/traps then melee. If you enjoy tough oldschool roguelikes and oldschool horror flicks (especsially Friday the 13th) with a dash of Doom and Diablo, I can recommend you this game.
Yes.
Great little game! Love the visuals. It's challenging and sometimes RNG can get you down, but the runs don't take very long and it's totally different every time. Interesting take on a turn-based system. You can click and go as fast as you want or sit there and inspect every enemy and take time plotting your movement. Quite the variety in abilities and weapons. The bosses are well thought out and creepy! I was surprised to find lore on every weapon and item too (gotta click the item to read it). You feel super powerful when you get power-ups that align with your loadout. Horror roguelikes need more love like this.
Simple but fun roguelike. Easy to pick up and love the horror style. Would love to see this game develop even more variation in terrain and mechanics, but while still maintaining its simplicity. 7/10
Good game. Does get a bit frustrating in a bad way with really super strong bosses that have questionable mechanics. Got in a bundle and I'm sure it was worth the ~£1 or however much I spent. Even £2.49 is good for a bit of fun. Really liked the 80s type theme too.
Has more meat then a bigmac at half the price. If you have some time to kill....
