Live by the Sword: Tactics, magia y fantasía por cuadrados
I enjoyed this game. I still think about it from time to time. It's great if you want something like Final Fantasy Tactics, but more focused on puzzle solving and less on itemization. The spritework was really beautiful, the combat puzzles were enjoyable. It sacrifices some of the complexity of other games in the genre in order to prevent you from item scaling or level scaling content into being trivial. There are pros and cons to that of course, but over all it's a good trade off. Story was nothing to write home about but serviceable and set up lots of fun combat puzzles. Both story mode and adventure modes are a good time. It's clearly a love letter to Final Fantasy Tactics with some nice tweaks to alleviate some frustrations with the genre. I'd love to see more from these guys, rather it's more content for this game or something new. Can recommend it, especially on sale.
A bit slow and sluggish at times but a fun tactical game nevertheless.

The tactics RPG subgenre continues chasing the high of Final Fantasy Tactics, and respectfully, you won't find it here. The game really struggles with any sense of progression, dumping 90% of everything you'll ever see on you within the first few story fights, and the story is very plainly written. Story mode in general starts feeling repetitive halfway through, only mitigated in its annoyance by its short length in the first place. That said, I bought this for two dollars - at a sale price, I do recommend it. The music isn't too bad, although if you play long enough you'll start muting it, and the pixel graphics are genuinely quite pretty for an indie project. It scratches an itch on the cheap.
Fun tactics game - beat it in ten hours.
It's good if maybe a little TOO basic/simple. I tried it all except multiplayer in 20 hours after paying $1.50. +Decent variety of units and skills. +I liked adventure & tactician modes as they brought more variables. +Cheap (on-sale). -Story has 2 unbeatable fights which would be fine if it explains that they are unbeatable. -Story leaves the ending unresolved. -Small HP pool + crit hits means your units can go from 100% HP to 0% HP in two hits. -Most attacks don't have 100% CtH but you cannot improve that except Adventure mode. -Your units don't block enemy units which makes guarding healer/wizard difficult. Not bad little TBS game for a cheap price.

fun little game, I heard about it a few years ago on nick rekietas stream, thought I would try it out. Definitely not an easy game to win but it is interesting.
