Это глубокая, философская история о детской беспомощности, взрослении и потере наивности . Увлекательный геймплей: Сочетание платформинга, стелса и нестандартных головоломок не дает заскучать ни на минуту, а захватывающие сцены побегов от чудовищных антагонистов держат в напряжении . Итог: Да, игра короткая, а некоторые головоломки могут поставить в тупик , но это не портит общего впечатления от этого уникального, стильного и глубокого хоррора. Little Nightmares обязательна к прохождению для всех поклонников жанра и качественных игр с душой.

Little Nightmares ended up being a massive disappointment. I had started it ages ago, probably around the time it released almost a decade ago, but lost interest. I recently picked it up for my annual fall horror game backlog cleanup mostly due to the high ratings and short runtime. The visual aesthetic and vibe of the game are good, and honestly the only high points for me. There is a bit of horror, mostly in the form of uncanny characters you meet, but it leans more toward a Nightmare Before Christmas style. I like that aesthetic, but it isn’t exactly what’s going to give you little nightmares. There really aren’t any jump scares, so people who spook easily might actually prefer that approach. Performance seemed fine, and I didn’t run into any noticeable bugs or game-breaking glitches. The movement is slow and clunky, probably by design, but it made the experience frustrating. I kept getting snagged on collisions and would end up just getting stuck when touching just about any object. I also wasn’t a fan of the puzzles. There were numerous times I finally gave up and looked up the solution only to find out that I had already tried it multiple times, but for whatever reason it just didn’t work. There were also a few puzzles that just don’t make logical sense. The runtime is pretty short, and the game is super linear. To progress, you have to do exactly what the devs intended with no room for variance or error. I’d consider a few of the deaths completely unavoidable since the only way to dodge them would be to know what’s coming ahead of time. There were also plenty of times where I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing next, along with a few super frustrating sections. I do have to give the devs props for making the enhanced edition free though. I saw some side-by-side footage, and I’m honestly not sure the new version even looks better. If anything, it looks worse in some areas while remaining very similar overall. Ultimately, I have no idea why this game is so highly rated. One thing of interest is that only about one in four people who own this have actually beaten it, so that confuses me even more from the massive number of positive reviews; mostly because the game only has a 3 hour run time. It’s a slow, short, and frustrating experience that just didn’t click for me.

Несмотря на достойный уровень дизайна персонажей и неплохое звуковое сопровождение игра ощущается переоцененной. В первую очередь из-за полного отсутствия объяснения происходящего. Думай что хочешь. Не по душе такой подход.

It's a cute little game, with good graphics and sounds, and a little bit of weird world-building, which is cool. But I hate some things about it, like the camera. IT'S FKING KILLING ME. It's a little hard, but that's okay considering how short the game is. I also don't really like the "horror." For me, there are way scarier things than some dude with long arms, fat people or some Japanese girls. But overall, it's a good game and pretty ez to play.
