Little Keepers My co-op partner and I didn't have an awful time with Little Keepers, but it just wasn't good enough for me to give a full-throated recommendation. First off, it's in the unique situation of having a neat art style but ugly graphics. Secondly, I just found the controls to be a bit floaty. You gather resources by dragging them via tow line to an illuminated box, and this just didn't always feel particularly smooth. Lastly, there were times where my co-op partner and I weren't aware of a new enemy lane until the wave had already started. Perhaps developer Atabey Creations could do a bit more to call attention to these additions. We liked the idea of being able to gather larger stacks of resources if we attached both players' tow lines to them, but this didn't end up being particularly necessary. We often ran around panicked during the waves rather than gathering more resources, and still had no problem completing the game's single level. We also enjoyed using the flamethrower that can be seen in a gif down in the game's description, although the aforementioned floaty controls made this a bit unwieldy as well. If you're looking to do some cooperative tower defense with a controllable character on screen, I might recommend ZAMB! Endless Extermination, Colony Siege, or last year's Bish Bash Bots instead.

The ambition is there. However, credits roll after 10 minutes. More levels could've been nice. Otherwise good game, LMAO

Size zarar vermek isteyen mutant bitkilerden birbirlerini korumak değilse, arkadaşlar ne işe yarar? Düşmanlarınızı oluşturun, savunmalarınızı yok edin ve bahçedeki kaosu yeniden sağlayın! ... Durun, tam tersi oldu.
Fun game, though I did experience some performance issues which made the character controls feel very unresponsive. Overall would recommend for anyone looking for a short but sweet dose of local co-op gameplay.
The controls were not working for me. I dont think this game is compatible for keyboard.
Little Keepers is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from Voxel School in Madrid, Spain. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This is a different spin on Plants vs Zombies, it's a co-op tower defense. The story involves mutant plants attacking your home, and you and a partner must build defenses and collect resources to survive. You play in a cute, spooky wonderworld. Mechanics involve resource gathering, base building, and strategic defense against enemies, although ultimately the student project nature of the game shines through... it lacks polish and any kind of long term interest... you can smash through the whole game in 10 minutes. So what's the point? Oh yeah, this was published to make students feel good about themselves, and what's good for gamers be damned. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Insultingly, the developer insists that you should play this with a console peasant children's toy gamepad instead of KB+M. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're designing games for. It's the responsibility of the developer to ensure the game runs well on the platform they're selling it on, with the primary peripherals that PC gamers use. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
