Little Inferno

This game is so nostalgic and it's still so fun. The game somehow get's you to become attached to characters that you never even meet and only talk to through letters. It's short but not super expensive and is honestly just a great time. The ending is also pretty good at wrapping up the story and giving the game more depth.

An old by today's standards yet classic little thing, cozy and fun yet having a nice story to go alongside it. i love it to bits. Love the story and i hope many others enjoy this beauty and it lives on.

I got this game because the reviews were great and one of the creators of "World of Goo" worked on it. Credit where credit's due, the visuals are great, especially the masterfully crafted fire effects. The gameplay, on the other hand, gets stale and tedious quickly. You buy toys, burn them, and use the resulting coins to buy more toys and burn those. You find "combos" by burning certain items together, and all you have to go off of are the combo titles and the items you unlocked, so you need to do a lot of trial-and-error and waiting to get all of them. There's a story, but it's bare-bones and told through letters, which the player has to do a lot of tedious toy-burning to get. That Kyle Gabler charm wore off quickly, and I got so bored of the game after a while that I just looked up all the remaining combos and speedran getting them so I could finish the game as soon as possible. [spoiler]The game's second act was a refreshing change of pace, but all things considered, it was just a mediocre adventure game at best, and a miniature "art game" at worst.[/spoiler] Play World of Goo instead.
