Little Betty: Gold Rush is a precision platformer, similar to RITE. Sadly, the poor jumping mechanics let down what could have been a good game. Most notably, wall-jumping. It's so unintuitive. And there's no variable jump height, so collecting coins between your head and a buzzsaw is an exercise in frustration. The achievements are written in what looks like German, and the developer seems to be completely absent from Steam, making no updates to the game or responses to questions in the discussion forum. I suggest trying the demo before buying Little Betty. You might enjoy it more than I did. And I'll happily give the game another shot if it gets some updates.
Honestly, this little game took me by surprise, I am having lots (I mean lots!) of fun with it. I am nowhere near completing it but the restart loop is so addictive, I'll get there eventually :) Top quality from a single developer. The controls are tight and I really love the cute pixel art. For how cheap it is, it's totally worth it. If you like retro precision, grab it!
