The Acorn Bounty

This is some great janky run and gun action. There was a bit of a learning curve, but what’s here is so much fun! The game has a mildly psychedelic vibe and a silly story that I really appreciated, but the actual game pulls no punches. Some enemies like the bat keep you on your toes, and there’s a bit of dying involved with figuring out how to get around some of the trickier sections with spread out platforms and tough enemy layouts. Once I figured out to save gold to get the rocket launcher asap the game became infinitely easier, but it still felt like a good challenge. I played this on Steam Deck and it worked great, but when I loaded up the game the next day with my character right before the final level, it played the opening cutscene and my character was standing in that second to last level spot unable to go back with all weapons and hats wiped from my inventory? Not sure if this is unique to Deck, but with all my memories from playing the game the previous day I was able to begin again and complete the game within an hour. This game is really fun and I hope to see more cool retro jank from the dev!

I love acorn bounty, I wake up and play The Acorn Bounty then go to bed then wake up and play The Acorn Bounty and go to be and wake up and play The Acorn Bounty. Some say I'm crazy but I say I'm nuts over The Acorn Bounty!

I've only played the game when I am not coherent. Drunk review: level 2 is too hard and it makes me racist -would play again Edit: I played it sober and I still suck ass

This amazing game saved my failing marriage! After playing it I realized how little my love for my wife was compared to my love of the Acorn Bounty, so I finally made the decision to kick her out!

Can be frustrating but there are some nice upgrades available.

this game is really fun. Looks like a lot of love and effort was put into making this game. I love the animations and the mechanics of this game. This game is very replayable with all the different guns. Overall, its a little bit hard which is a nice refreshing challenge. Great game!

In The Acorn Bounty you have to shoot in an arc meaning no aiming behind you or in front of you or at all. The plus side is it has good music. 4/10
