About

Liquidation is a tactical Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game set in a universe that mixes elements of both fantasy and science fiction, with support for both single-player and multiplayer modes.
Our story unfolds on the dying planet of Veá, where a sudden, cataclysmic event, known as the Splintering, wiped out entire species and destroyed thriving civilzations.
In its wake, a strange, powerful substance, called Quenrium rose from the depths of the world. Discovery of life-sustaining properties of Quenrium, in a world starved for resources, led a conflict between the Twilight Crusade and the Scourge alliance over its possesion.
Thus began the Quenrium War.
Fanatical zealots clad in radiant golden armor. Guided by unshakable faith, they seek absolute control of the planet and the eradication of all who oppose their holy mandate.
A desperate coalition of Lamia tribes and technologically advanced Frogkin. United by necessity, they combine primal ferocity with cutting‑edge weaponry to survive against overwhelming threats.
Host of demons pouring into Veá through a tear in reality. Shapen by a godlike entity from the Nether realm, they only seek to do bidding of their master.
Liquidation delivers tightly balanced battles where every unit and ability serves a clear, intentional role.
The game encourages thoughtful army composition and mid‑sized forces, striking a sweet spot between micro‑level control and macro‑level strategy. This creates a battlefield where smart tactical choices, clever positioning, and well-timed abilities can swing the tide and secure decisive advantages.
Liquidation’s story is driven by powerful commanders who serve as the narrative centerpieces.
Commanders level up and unlock new abilities as the campaign progresses. Commanders are not meant to overshadow the armies they lead. Even the strongest commander cannot stand alone. Every strength comes with a weakness. This creates a world where heroes matter, but armies remain essential.

Its very similar to the old school RTS games, if you like Starcraft or Warcraft you will probably like this. As for the review someone left saying their GPU is overheating, my CPU peaked at 67c and GPU 62c while playing through the first 4 missions. Maybe an issue to be aware of if you are running older hardware.
I hate to get excited by yet another RTS early access and get my hopes up, but I have to admit Liquidation's first 6 chapters are a promising start. Maybe because they seem to be on an opposite trajectory than something like Stormgate. Focusing on the campaign and worldbuilding and not hyper-polishing the gamefeel and competitive before anyone is actually interested in playing. The aesthetics are already pretty good, or at least more my cup of tea than other new RTS, I appreciate the characters having faces and personalities instead of generic space marines. And they've already got 3 factions online in a playable state. Somehow, despite playing it fairly safe I'd say with the faction designs, they come across as more "their own thing" than other games, maybe because they've done enough to feel like they've set up their own world with the visuals and story and tileset environments. That being said, there's obviously a lot that needs to be done. Off the top of my head after the first 6 missions: Subtitles not matching dialogue, Scripting issues in main missions (I remember one specific moment where Celeste just ran past me into the woods and got stuck, then I just moved forward without her until I met her sycophant ally and recruited her and it gave me control of Celeste) and some story issues in the same missions (Was unclear at the end of that mission that Celeste and the scythe guy forgot-his-name got separated which was shown at the start of the next mission) Big pathfinding issues around the model-based ramp in the final mission. I mean nothing you couldn't get around but really confused the units. Hit registry on units in battle is pretty weak, I like a lot of the big knockback and AoE affects normal units can have, feels very Warcraft 3 custom game in a cool way, but I felt like I just had to start clocking the enemies and learning their idiosyncracies, not that their attacks were registering in an intuitive way. This is in regards to artillery units with knockback not really being as noticeable as they should be in the back line despite blowing your whole army away, those Beetle bombs dealing contiguous damage in a path wasn't too bad but they just look like unimposing projectiles, and one big issue was chain-gunning enemies not being clear how often they deal damage/how often their attacks are hitting. Still though, clearly a lot of love here, don't get my hopes up for nothing! Have joined the discord for updates and hope to get some soon!

So far I have played a few campaign missions and several skirmishes. Liquidation has that WC3 feel to it but with its own take on RTS. I like the simplicity of the resource gathering so you can focus on building up your army. I also enjoy being able to roam around the map clearing neutral camps to level up my heroes. Certain neutral camps will drop items to buff your hero stats or give you quick boosts. I haven't played enough to see how in depth those items are or their stat modifications. But so far, it has been fun. I have played as two different factions and each have two heroes from what I have seen. Unit upgrades seem to be where the differences between the factions really start to shine. The ones I have played both have melee and ranged options. But the weapon modifying upgrades can make the differences much more pronounced. I would like to see an option to have a random hero when starting a skirmish. Its possible this option exists and I missed it. I'd also like to see a map editor at some point (Dota 3 map?), which may also exist. Overall, this is a very solid EA title and I look forward to not only seeing where it goes, but playing it as it is right now. If you are a fan of RTS, this one is worth a try. It is worth the price even if you exclude the early discount. Edit: Im also running this on an old laptop and it seems to run well. It is also nice to have a game release where the audio isn't defaulted to maximum so you are deafened upon startup and have to click through so much to be able to turn things down.
Good game but it needs more cooking.
fun gameplay, and I like how the story is presented in a timeline. I wish more info was availible from a wiki or game menu like a codex as to follow up on changes to the units and plan strategies but is definitely a matter of time for that
9/10, pretty epic Need more people playing
I've played the demo several times over the past months, always coming back to try the newly added races, and I enjoyed every playthrough. From the very beginning, the game captured that classic Warcraft III atmosphere and aesthetic that I've been missing for years. I really appreciate that, in a time when so many games focus on pushing cutting-edge graphics, the developers chose to create something that embraces the spirit of classic rts games like Warcraft and StarCraft instead. Gameplay-wise, it delivers exactly what I was hoping for. It builds on a proven formula that RTS fans already know and love, while giving it its own identity rather than simply copying it. For longtime fans of the genre, I think it strikes all the right nostalgic notes while still feeling fresh. I've only just started the campaign, but it's already managed to pull me in. The story is engaging enough to make me curious about what comes next, and I'm hoping it has one of those memorable twists that makes you sit back and say, "Damn... I didn't see that coming." Overall, I think Liquidation is a great game with a lot of potential. It has already built a solid foundation, and I hope the developers continue expanding on it leading up to the full release. If you're a fan of classic rts games, grew up playing Warcraft or StarCraft, or you're simply looking for a refreshing new rts game, I can wholeheartedly recommend giving Liquidation a try.
Really rough to look at. It feels like your eyes are fogged from opening them underwater in an over chlorinated pool. The gameplay is okay, but I personally cannot tolerate the graphics. Look at the trailers and you can see what I mean. There is an odd haze, almost like a filter. I don't know if this is an issue with all maps, but from what i've seen it's not going to get much better. Audio also needs a lot of work. Units don't feel punchy at all and a lot of the character voices are just annoying/repetitive. When attacks land you don't really feel the hits connect. A lot of issues that keep the game from being immersive. Give it a few more years and I imagine this will be decent, as is, too sloppy to be worth the time or money.
