Experienced using Meta Quest 3 With Virtual desktop
I was very pleasantly surprised by this game. If you like retro games, I am pretty sure that you will like this indie vr title. It is trippy and has lots of surprises. Here is my stream of gameplay, don't watch it if you want to avoid spoilers! https://youtube.com/live/4ryONuJLfg0
The atmosphere alone has me afraid of going around every corner from the get go. As someone who grew up in the 90s, it does a really good job of making me feel like I'm a kid again. And by that I mean small and easily spooked.
Love the feel and floppy throwbacks! Wish there was support for google cardboard
An Eerie But Somehow Nostalgic VR Experience
I have had this game in my library for about a couple years now. When I initially played this game, I really did not like walk speed. You were SLOW in this game, crawling speed slow. However, I noticed the dev did update this game a little while ago to speed up the character and decided to give it another chance. I actually enjoyed my playthrough this time. The game plays out like a liminal space inside a 90s computer game. Kind of like the Backrooms, but it is not large and maze like, it is a linear experience that gives you small puzzles along the way. Also, there are enemies and you can shoot (that is all I'm going to say from that to avoid giving much more away). The game is VERY indie, so visuals are pretty basic, however, I do like the style. I used to play old-school PC games and having a horror VR game based with that style, definitely gave me nostalgia that I much welcomed. The game is kind of short, however. A single playthrough can last up to 2 hours. There are collectibles to find, so there is some replayability in that regard. Overall, I did enjoy my experience with this game after the patches it received. For $5, its a good experience, especially if you want to go inside a old 90s computer game.
Great game but scary. Has nice sound design and the game gives you that nice low poly aesthetics. This is the perfect game to play if you want a cheap and good horror VR game. Its simple and actually had some jump scares i didn't see coming. Personally i would say it's worth the money.
Liminal Phase, feels like a forgotten, but familiar nightmare! The melancolic atmosphere in VR draws you in and keeps you on the edge. While getting deeper into the game, a constant feel of unease and stress follwoed me, but the exploration, Doom-Like-Combat and simple gameplay kept me going. One of my favorit parts at the start was getting loaded into "Sanctum 3-D" it felt like the horror version of Tron. -Good Spooks -Immersive Retro Vibe -Easy to play (I played it with Meta Quest Pro + Steam VR and Standalone on the Pro) Update: Made a video on my channel about it :) https://youtu.be/49YfTLiAt8Y?si=8WJc_O71uzlkFO0i
Scary but fun game! Liminal Phase keeps me on my toes, makes me hesitant to go around the next corner but still makes me feel like I can handle it. Collecting floppy disks gives extra motivation to continue my exploration.
The authors are true psychos, cool short game
Great atmosphere, deliciously surreal and full of surprises. A hidden VR gem with a lot of personality.
