This is exactly my type of game; at first glance it shares broad similarities with "Lacey's Wardrobe", which initially evoked my interest, yet has plenty of its own charms, additionally turning out to be crazier than I anticipated. The game manages to be brutal and grotesque in a truly unsettling way, I actually felt nervous and disturbed at times. The gameplay itself felt pleasant to me, despite its repetitive nature, plus including some engaging twists. Moreover, the graphics encompass a wide spectrum of visual styles, providing the game with a striking aesthetic. Accompanied by the intense sound effects, the ambience is truly excellent! Unsupported manual saving occasionally made the progression rather inconvenient, but besides that I am in awe of this experience! The lack of explanations will probably cause me to keep creating theories for a while now, but I suppose that's all part of this game genre.
I actually like this game. Played both of them and waiting for the third game but i just wanna say please dev read my review. The world building is great. The intensity of the story is amazing. You really need to play this one before progressing to the second game cause it was connected or you will get confused halfway. But i must say it's amazing to theory craft this even though the game is technically not finish on the lore yet. Why the bad reviews? The gameplay loop. I hate it when i miss a single key item, reached the flag and the game decided to "Oh no you don't have all the key items. Better delete that save file and start over again bozo". My playtime for this one is around 2 hours and it was thanks to guide because the items will be softlocked if you just miss a single step (literally) and proceed with the day as usual. I wish for the third game or somehow for other player, update the game to add checkpoint. It's a great mechanic but the loop is very repetitive that i could memorize what i have to do because i already reset twice thanks to missclick. Overall it's a good game. But the repetitive gameplay loop is horrendous for me.
Game definitely reminds me of lacey's wardrobe and some other horror flash games. First run was fun, second run and third run was okay but the moment you had to replay everything from day 1 again it becomes increasingly tedious and it isn't as terrifying anymore. I really like the game but my biggest gripe was the gameplay loop. I would have to say the story is decent and the world building is considerable if you wanna try it for the story.
when are we getting Lily's female rage moment
Terrifying little horror gem! But if you're going in blind, heavy trigger warning for themes of
stalking and murder
and contains some real-life imagery. The horror felt too real for me, I ended up stopping halfway and watched a playthrough instead. But if you can stomach it, enjoy the wild ride!!!
unique short horror game, it went somewhere i didn’t expect at all. i loved how it mixes that cute art style with genuine creepiness. it’s hard to say much without ruining it, but honestly it’s way better to go in blind and just let it surprise you. <3
This is a really nice lil game in the category of indie horror. Especially how the game puts up a sweet front just to slowly bring out the scary aspects. I would recommend everyone to try and get all achievements or at least get to new game+ since that`s probably the best part. I honestly can`t complain whatsoever and would recommend this to everyone that likes (found footage) horror.
This game randomly got recommended to me during the fall sale and I bought it thinking it would be just another indie horror game and I WAS SO WRONG. I enjoy this type of horror so much and it was everything I could dream of and more, they really hit the nail on the head with this one! CAN NOT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH. I had a blast playing through it live and I can't wait to play the next game when it comes out. I hope more people find this gem, it deserves more recognition.
It's REALLY good... if you manage to guess the specific order the game wants you to do things.
spoilers, be warned
It's not clear AT ALL what actions will skip a day and what wont during the 2D sections and it makes it really easy to skip the
red areas
accidentally then be softlocked right at the end cause you didn't get the
crowbar, the key or the pliers
. and worst of all there's no way to just pause and go to the main menu in these areas so you're left to wander forever to see if you missed something that you need to progress in
the 3d world
when there's nothing and you need to alt f4. I eventually got it right and i LOVE the story and what the game is setting up, the thing the game does with the data archives is so creative and cool and i love anything inspired by Lacey so much, but the previous problem almost made me drop the game without a guide </3
