About
A new legend begins as you step into the steel toe boots of Goro Majima, a man who has lost his memory and reinvents himself as a pirate on the open sea.
Embark on an over-the-top, modern-day pirate adventure with an ex-yakuza, now pirate captain and his crew as they engage in exhilarating combat on land and sea in the hunt for lost memories and a legendary treasure.
Goro Majima, a notorious ex-yakuza suddenly finds himself shipwrecked on a remote island in the Pacific. Unable to remember even his own name, he sets sail in search of clues to his lost memories, accompanied by a boy named Noah who saved his life. Before long, they’re caught up in a conflict between cutthroat criminals, modern-day pirates, and other scoundrels over a legendary treasure.
Assemble a one-of-a-kind crew while upgrading your ship as you explore the open sea and forge your legend in the cannon fire of foes, unexpected friendships, and immense riches made along the way.
When an enemy pirate ship catches you in their sights, an exhilarating real-time cannon battle breaks out. Quickly maneuver into position while avoiding fire, then deliver devastating damage to board the enemy ship and take down the captain in all-out crew vs. crew brawls. Conquer the seas, discover hidden islands and acquire loads of loot like a true yakuza pirate!
Dynamically switch between the “Mad Dog” and “Sea Dog” fighting styles to mix-up attacks and deliver explosive combos, juggles, and aerial takedowns that reward your creativity with over-the-top action.
With “Mad Dog” style, utilize speed, agility, and flair to deliver precise yet powerful blows that stun your enemies into submission.
Or make enemies walk the plank with the “Sea Dog” style that has you dual-wielding short swords and deploying tricky pirate tools to kick some serious booty.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii — это именно та игра, которая не боится быть безумной.

Super super fun game!! The plot starts off by not taking itself too seriously (as suggested by the name itself and it being a Yakuza/LaD game) but ends up becoming quite touching and emotional near the end. I love the crew dynamic and, this being my first Yakuza game I played in the English dub, I absolutely loved the voice acting and how close it made all the crew feel. While it took some getting used to, I'll absolutely be using the dub for any future Yakuza games I play from now on! This game takes Majima, a character I love so much anyway, and gives him some brand new depth to his character that we've not had the opportunity to see in previous games, including Yakuza 0. And, while the story is simple, I found myself dropping my jaw and laughing in excitement alongside him at points. The combat's a lot of fun. The game features two styles - one which fits Majima's existing "Mad Dog" moveset seen in other games, and the other with a much more pirate-y moveset featuring boomerang cutlasses, a charge shot pistol and a grapple hook. I found myself frequently alternating between these styles (something I didn't really do very frequently in Yakuza 0 or Yakuza Kiwami) because, in addition to the pirate moveset being better at crowd control while the Mad Dog moveset is better for damage output on one or two enemies, they're both just so enjoyable and satisfying to use. I wasn't particularly sold on the pirate-y aspects of the gameplay, however. Exploring islands for treasure is a lot of fun, but sailing the ship around and engaging in ship combat wasn't very fun. The ship feels sluggish and it takes forever to get somewhere you don't have fast travel for. And the combat doesn't require a whole lot of thought - just get the enemy ship to your side and blast them with your cannons or lasers or whatever. Plus, unless the game is running at 60fps, the game CONSTANTLY crashes during ship combat. The number of crashes I experienced during my playthrough is definitely decently into the double digits. Eventually I found out decreasing the frame rate would fix it and I started doing this when I knew I was going to get into ship combat but, still, damage was done to my impression of this style of combat and I found myself never finding much enjoyment in it. Overall, in my opinion, this game is crazy fun in all aspects besides the ship combat. Definitely a must play for any Yakuza/Like a Dragon fan!!
Overhated and great to buy on a sale. This was surprisingly not the worst. It's very fun for the most part. The characters are great, story is decent and gameplay is decently fun. One thing to get out of the way was the weirdly bad graphics, looked worse than 8 for me personally and 8 was very nice. Couldn't figure out why until I went into settings and saw the highest settings used upscaling (fsr2 in my case) I turned it off and it was much better. Not sure if the other games did that. gameplay: The styles are fun on their own but they don't mesh well or smoothly as something like Lost Judgement's styles. The Mad dog style is a mix of the styles from 0, I personally wish it was 0 legend style that was the most fun mad dog has ever been. while Sea dog is unique with a lot of fun stuff to it. The new juggling mechanic is underbaked and jumping is meh, I found myself jumping a bunch when I was trying to sprint since they're on the same button. Minor annoyances. Ship battles: They're mostly great but get kinda boring after a while. Moving in the ship is really slow and sucks but combat is mostly booting, drifting and using your cannons hoping you don't drift too far. There's some neat tech but it's not the most fun to play overall. The ocean maps are really tedious to travel and they set up speed points everywhere and it still feels slow. Most of the minigames and stuff are recycled from 8 which is fine. The story is decent. The amnesia thing is lame and barely developed, just having regular majima would have worked just fine to be honest. The villains are also serviceable but forgettable. There's a guy you fight like 3 or 4 times and I forget he existed until he came back each time. Music: Very good. The new songs for this game are awesome. This game also has scenes with irl women but it's actually pretty funny this time around and not weird and kinda uncomfortable like the Kiryu Gaiden. Def give it a go.
Весело, но будто уже совсем какая-то клоунада, не имеющая к якудзе никакого отношения
