About
A new legend begins as you step into the steel toe boots of Goro Majima, a man who has lost his memory and reinvents himself as a pirate on the open sea.
Embark on an over-the-top, modern-day pirate adventure with an ex-yakuza, now pirate captain and his crew as they engage in exhilarating combat on land and sea in the hunt for lost memories and a legendary treasure.
Goro Majima, a notorious ex-yakuza suddenly finds himself shipwrecked on a remote island in the Pacific. Unable to remember even his own name, he sets sail in search of clues to his lost memories, accompanied by a boy named Noah who saved his life. Before long, they’re caught up in a conflict between cutthroat criminals, modern-day pirates, and other scoundrels over a legendary treasure.
Assemble a one-of-a-kind crew while upgrading your ship as you explore the open sea and forge your legend in the cannon fire of foes, unexpected friendships, and immense riches made along the way.
When an enemy pirate ship catches you in their sights, an exhilarating real-time cannon battle breaks out. Quickly maneuver into position while avoiding fire, then deliver devastating damage to board the enemy ship and take down the captain in all-out crew vs. crew brawls. Conquer the seas, discover hidden islands and acquire loads of loot like a true yakuza pirate!
Dynamically switch between the “Mad Dog” and “Sea Dog” fighting styles to mix-up attacks and deliver explosive combos, juggles, and aerial takedowns that reward your creativity with over-the-top action.
With “Mad Dog” style, utilize speed, agility, and flair to deliver precise yet powerful blows that stun your enemies into submission.
Or make enemies walk the plank with the “Sea Dog” style that has you dual-wielding short swords and deploying tricky pirate tools to kick some serious booty.

This game is a lot of silly fun! I've never played a yakuza game before and mainly just got this because i was wanting a fun pirate game. Both the on land and pirate ship battles are a ton of fun, I actually go towards fights instead of running away to avoid them. There's a bunch of random minigames all over like darts, karaoke, cooking, and so many arcade style games everywhere. There's about 20 little games in one big game! Def worth it especially if you pick the game up on a sale.
got to play as goromi. enough said.
17 Minutes in the game is already convinced me this game isn't worth to pick it up even with 75% on sales. 1. The contrast/brightness issues isn't just a joke. It's the worst I have seen and it's even worse than Kiwami 2 greenish filter. It's so damn bright that my eye gets blurry after just 15 mins and I'm not even putting the brightness over 50 on my monitor. 2. The game feels clunky af. I played 8 and Gaiden and both doesn't feel as clunky as this. 3. UI design is hideous af. I don't care if you want to change for the sake of pirate theme, nobody ask for this ugly UI. 4. Combat mechanic feels stiff even compared to K2's Majima. I mean ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, how can you mess this up so bad? That's a very short minigame and Majima feels a lot more alive there. 5. It runs very poorly. I don't know why I still got like 30-40 fps when I can max it at 120fps on 8. Wtf is going on???? I have been warned about this game for so many times but I tried to be optimistic about it and picked it up during summer sales. I guess this is a goodbye for me with RGG studios. Your last "good" game is Y8 and ever since that your games and your decisions are just shell of its former self. Ps. I finished Ishin and I would say I rather play that game to this garbage.
This is probably one of the side games that you could play without properly knowing the yakuza lore.
Замечательная игра

"Y'know, i don't know if people understand how goofy and silly Goro Majima is, how do we show that beyond what we did in the Majima everywhere system?" "Turn him into Jack Sparrow"
