Light City District

I actually enjoyed this game. The concept of going back to hand held games and making one for the PC I thought was original and enjoyable. The world, the characters and the story were well done. It's not a long game but that's ok. It was still really good. We as gamers ask that creators try new things and this was definitely new territory and I really enjoyed. It was money well spent.

[h2]One of a kind.[/h2] This game is by definition unique. Cool story, interesting classic adventure game puzzling, and a twist. It's short (very short), sweet, and a pleasure to have experienced. I would gladly pick up a sequel.

I can't decently recomend this. First it's just a prototype of a game. After the end of the first chapter which contains about one hour of game, and ends on a murder to solve, the game stops and tells you to ask the devs for a sequel. There's a couple hidden sequences but you have to play the game at certain hours (irl) to see them, which is completely dumb. Second, some of the controls in the gameplay sequences are really bad. The part when you have to look for a cat inside a house and you have to painstakingly go through each object in the house with just the left and right buttons is unacceptably tedious. Same thing for the shooting sequence at the end. And why are the loading times so long? As for the LCD design, I personally enjoyed it because I'm old enough to have played LCD games, and I can wallow in that nostalgia, but I suppose some zoomers will have no idea what's going on. I also like the lightness of the gameplay that the LCD concept could entails, and the idea of making a RPG/adventure game with just the simplistic controls of a game and watch, but I'm not sure that's what being reseearched by the devs here.
