You can watch my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/wADLa3dbetk or read my review below:
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
I cannot in good conscience recommend this. It's a shame because it does seem like this dev has been updating the game for a while, which is unusual to see in VR. However, it's just not a good VR music visualizer. There are much better options out there. The visuals are bad. I did not find a single environment or visualization to be pleasing. I don't even think it was really all that well-synced to the music. I don't think I would ever want to listen to my music with this app. There aren't enough drugs in the world to make it bearable. There is a free VR music visualizer called Vision that is much better. There are other good ones out there as well. I'm not sure why this is rated positive by Steam reviewers, especially at the normal price of $8.99 USD. Rate 4/10. At least I only spent .89 cents on this.
Great ! :D
Promising ide. But it feels like you are one foot tall gnome high on shrooms. Give us some 3d sound visualization. And dancing increase the amplitude. Falls kinda flat at the moment. And its so freaking bright. Lobby has the best light. Keep up the work
Light and Dance VR - Music, Action, Relaxation offers a refreshing take on virtual reality entertainment by combining music visualization, casual interaction, and stress-free gameplay into a single immersive experience. Developed by Hermann Fischer and published by Total Creations, the game focuses less on traditional objectives and more on allowing players to enjoy music through interactive environments filled with colorful lighting effects and responsive visuals. Instead of presenting a competitive rhythm challenge, it encourages users to create their own experience by dancing, relaxing, exploring, or simply enjoying the atmosphere while their favorite songs come to life in virtual reality. One of the game's standout features is its ability to work with the player's personal music collection. Rather than restricting users to a fixed soundtrack, it allows virtually any music source to become part of the experience, giving every session a unique identity. The inclusion of internet radio stations further expands the listening options, making it easy to jump into the experience even without preparing playlists in advance. Because the visual effects react dynamically to whatever music is playing, each visit feels different depending on the chosen genre, whether it is energetic electronic music, soothing ambient tracks, classical compositions, or modern pop songs. Visually, the game delivers an appealing collection of dance floors and immersive environments filled with animated lighting, particle effects, fog, and vibrant color displays. These visual elements synchronize with the music to create an ever-changing spectacle that feels particularly engaging inside a VR headset. Rather than striving for realism, the presentation embraces a stylized aesthetic that enhances the feeling of being inside a living music visualizer. The shifting lights and rhythmic environmental effects help create an atmosphere that can feel energetic during upbeat songs or peaceful during slower, more relaxing tracks. Gameplay is intentionally open-ended, allowing players to interact with the virtual world in several different ways. Players can dance freely, move between environments, jump around the stages, draw using VR controllers, or simply stand still and enjoy the audiovisual presentation. One particularly thoughtful inclusion is the Chillout Mode, which is designed for maximum comfort by allowing players to experience the visuals while sitting or reclining. This flexibility makes the game approachable for users looking for a calming virtual escape as well as those interested in a more active dance session. The experience also incorporates light fitness elements by tracking calories burned during movement. While it does not offer the structured workouts or precision-based mechanics found in dedicated VR rhythm games, it encourages natural physical activity without placing pressure on performance or scoring. Players who simply want to move to music at their own pace may find this relaxed approach more enjoyable than games that demand perfect timing and constant concentration. Customization plays an important role throughout the experience. Numerous settings allow players to adjust the presentation to their personal preferences, while microphone support and multiple environment options further enhance replayability. The interface remains straightforward and easy to navigate, making the software accessible even for newcomers to virtual reality. Its emphasis on simplicity ensures that users can begin enjoying the experience almost immediately without spending time learning complicated mechanics or systems. Despite its strengths, Light and Dance VR is not designed for players seeking deep progression, competitive leaderboards, or complex gameplay systems. The lack of structured objectives means that much of the long-term enjoyment depends on the player's appreciation for music, experimentation, and relaxation. Those expecting an action-heavy rhythm title may find the experience somewhat limited, while players looking for an interactive music visualizer or a calming VR environment will likely appreciate its more laid-back design philosophy. Overall, Light and Dance VR - Music, Action, Relaxation successfully carves out its own niche by blending music, immersive visuals, gentle physical activity, and customizable environments into a relaxing virtual reality experience. Its greatest strength lies in the freedom it gives players to enjoy music however they choose, whether by dancing, exercising lightly, or simply unwinding in a colorful digital world. Although it lacks the depth and competitive elements of larger VR rhythm games, its versatility, accessibility, and immersive audiovisual presentation make it a worthwhile option for players seeking a unique and relaxing VR companion. Rating: 7/10
good for what it can do the lack of vr trackers is why you can only track your hands with it right now as thats all that vive or oculus track for vr at this time so it is what it is but it's a great visulizer with plenty of variations that you'll being able to find something you like in there good fun if it's your thing to move around and listen to your music could use some custom ai dancers to dance with would be nice to have shame it dose not have them
The Game is good for the current price. But a few more Gamemodes would be good. Perhaps something with a sword or Quik Time Events. And the Chillout-Mode would be better in my opinion, if the Lights would fit with the Rhytmus of the Music.
I won't like to you, this game is getting better and better with every update ! I have so much fun playing this , listening to music, switching effects etc. It's very nice ! Keep up the good work developpers :)
OMG this is awesome. I have used this for about 6 months piping my own music in BUT the september update have moved it from funky images to super funky images. Love it. Keep up the good work !
+Music Visualizer +Lots of things to relax to -Expensive for utility -Not much "Action" 2/5 With it's price I can't recommend a music visualizer. There are better relaxing/meditation/music VR applications If you liked this review Click here and follow for more reviews of VR titles.
