An overall amazing game, with a wonderful soundtrack, satisfying and engaging gameplay and a surprisingly competent story. The DLC includes more of the positives, and in my opinion one of the best final bosses in gaming. Arguable the best Souls-Like currently out, even managing to surpass Fromsoft in some aspects. 9/10 - Almost perfect.

This is one of the best games i have ever played. I have tried to play other soul-like games, like darksouls and elden ring. But this game has ruined every other game for me.

Get it on sale. Game has extremely frustrating enemies after the first three-quarters of gameplay. You'll go from having wonder and awe at the foes you meet and then find yourself breaking your teeth in frustration as relentless never-ending combos pile upon you and keep you at zero-stamina for entire boss fights. Perfect parrying is a cool system and all but making it punish you for getting a "fatal attack" on your foe by making said enemy perform an extremely high-damage attack while "stumbling" into their stun animation? Complete garbage. Imagine if every time in Dark Souls that when you parried an enemy he still swings an attack that does two-thirds of your health bar and then the critical-hit you get maybe does one tenth of their health bar? It's complete malarkey. Theming and overall gameplay is okay. I hate being animation locked and unable to dodge or block/parry. Is the game fun? I give it a 6/10, get it on sale. I thoroughly enjoyed it up until every enemy suddenly did the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "you stunned me but I still attack" nonsense and every boss became an insane game of relentless combos that require Sekiro-on-crack levels of perfect-blocking to even hope to have a chance to fight back.
