Fajna muzyka, spoko kolorystyka, wciągająca :)
A very cool game and premise that ultimately fails to actually be enjoyable. It starts out fun and interesting, but very quickly devolves into horrid boss design with buggy hitboxes and no indicators of weak points in the later bosses. This becomes especially obnoxious as later bosses have multiple phases that don't save progress, and take many many hits to actually go down. Be prepared to spend 20+ minutes redoing bosses and levels that you can easily beat just to have an attempt at a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ part. Don't even get me started that many bosses glitch out if you learn their patterns and hit them in the first few frames...
Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition is a fiercely stylized arcade action game that revels in excess, absurdity, and mechanical purity. Developed by Lichthund and published by Crunching Koalas alongside the original creators, it delivers an experience that is intentionally loud, strange, and uncompromising. The game drops players into a surreal “ancient Germanic future,” a world where mythology, science fiction, and parody collide, and where a capricious god hands you a glowing spear of light and demands entertainment through violence. This framing sets the tone immediately: Lichtspeer is not interested in subtle storytelling or realism, but in raw energy and relentless challenge. At the heart of the game is a single, deceptively simple mechanic: throwing the Lichtspeer. You stand on a flat plane while enemies advance from one or both sides, and your survival depends entirely on how well you judge angle, timing, and power. Charging and releasing the spear feels instantly intuitive, yet mastering it requires sharp reflexes and spatial awareness. As enemies increase in speed, durability, and numbers, the game transforms into a constant test of composure under pressure. There is no room for sloppy play, as hesitation or a poorly aimed throw can quickly spiral into failure. This purity of design gives the game a strong arcade identity, where improvement comes from skill and repetition rather than unlock-heavy progression systems. Enemy variety plays a major role in keeping this narrow mechanical focus engaging. The game throws an escalating parade of bizarre foes at the player, each with distinct behaviors that force constant adaptation. Some enemies charge directly, others move erratically, leap across the screen, or require multiple hits to defeat. Boss encounters punctuate progress with dramatic difficulty spikes, demanding near-perfect execution and rapid adjustment to complex patterns. While some enemy types and behaviors reappear later in the game, the increasing density and speed of encounters ensure that familiarity does not automatically translate to comfort. Visually, Lichtspeer is unapologetically bold. The art style is angular, colorful, and aggressively cartoonish, leaning heavily into surreal humor and exaggerated forms. Backgrounds shift dramatically from icy Nordic landscapes to deserts, pyramids, and cosmic disco arenas, reinforcing the game’s anything-goes attitude. Character and enemy designs are intentionally ridiculous, blending mythology, pop culture, and absurdity into a coherent aesthetic that never takes itself seriously. This visual chaos is paired with a driving electronic soundtrack that amplifies the intensity of each encounter, creating a rhythmic, almost hypnotic flow where action and music feed into each other. The Double Speer Edition expands the experience in meaningful ways, most notably through cooperative play. A second player can join as a floating spear-throwing companion, turning the game into a frantic shared challenge. Co-op dramatically changes the dynamic, increasing enemy aggression and density while encouraging coordination and communication. It also amplifies the game’s comedic energy, as success and failure are shared in equal measure. Additional modes like New Game+ and the brutally named Rage Quit mode extend replayability for players who thrive on escalating difficulty and self-imposed punishment. Despite its strengths, the game is not universally accommodating. Its commitment to a single core mechanic means that repetition is inevitable, and extended play sessions can feel exhausting rather than exhilarating. Difficulty spikes can be abrupt and unforgiving, especially during boss encounters that demand near-flawless performance. Players looking for narrative depth, mechanical variety, or gradual power progression may find the experience harsh or monotonous. Lichtspeer is unapologetic about this; it expects players to meet it on its own terms rather than adapt itself to broader tastes. Ultimately, Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition is a confident and idiosyncratic arcade game that thrives on precision, spectacle, and challenge. It excels in short, intense bursts where failure is frequent but instructive, and where success feels earned through mastery rather than luck. Its absurd humor, striking presentation, and demanding gameplay make it memorable, even if not universally appealing. For players who enjoy pure arcade action, score chasing, and games that value skill above all else, it offers a chaotic, electrifying experience that fully embraces its own madness. Rating: 7/10
a fun 2d spear throwing game
OK
Zombies are the Wurst!
very good game where you throw speers german style towards waves of giants and zombies and warlocks too some warlocks have a shield which gives you a fun challenge
Super fun game but badly optimised, multiplayer is the most interesting part for me but trying to use other mechanics than the speer is not working properly. Weird animation prompts and the cooldown timer starts without anything happening which makes this game very frustrating...
Não era o que eu esperava. O personagem fica parado e você apenas atira lanças com o Mouse.
