About
Rad is a rambunctious but spirited young boy who maybe plays too many video games. After dozing off at the tail end of a long night of gaming, Rad awakens to find his dusty old console has turned itself back on. Suddenly a vortex emerges and he's sucked into his TV, where he finds himself the star in his very own video game adventure.
Dusty is Rad's good-hearted but foul-mouthed, now-sentient game console. His clock speed isn't what it used to be, but what he lacks for in megahertz he makes up for with experience and attitude!
Rad & Dusty's adventure takes them through many dangerous stages of action-packed, humor-filled, hardcore platforming fun. This decaying jungle world has been infected by a fierce corruption, and it's up to the unlikely buddy-duo Rad and Dusty to save the jungle's inhabitants and restore the Elder Tree as guardian of the land.
Weapons: Dusty arms Rad with a variety of radical bad-ass weaponry. The Bolt Blaster has unlimited ammo, is easy to use, and more than enough firepower to get the job done. The Phoenix Cannon shoots out a fiery bird whose wingspan lights enemies ablaze as it flies by.
Sounds & Music: Composer Andrew Hulshult combined his years of musical experience (both performing and writing) with his passion for retro-style gaming to create an amazing and authentic soundtrack for the game complete with MIDI-inspired music... And synthesizers!
The Pixelverse: While Rad and Dusty are a great team, only Dusty can enter the electrified Pixelverse -- a dangerous spacetime-breaking region that exists behind the game world. Dusty enters the Pixelverse when necessary to repair glitches in the running game world, allowing both Rad & Dusty to continue their journey.
Classic Easter Eggs: The game features hard-to-find collectibles in sometimes even harder-to-find classic secret rooms. Use your precision platforming skills to collect 'em all.
This new and improved version of Rad Rodgers also include these brand new additions:
2 Player Couch Co-op - Play together with a friend! Enemies can prepare themselves for tough battles!
Battle Mode – Tired of team play? Fight against your friends and show them who’s boss!
New Playable Characters
New Abilities!
New Minigames!
New Overworld!
New Levels!
And tons of new secrets, collectibles and unlockables!

Broken achievements, bug in game that makes it impossible to get 100% Guess they forgot to beta test. Developers seem to care nothing, same as for the original world one release which has added achievements which are for non existing content which was added in this version. Such a shame since for the rest it is a good looking and enjoyable game to play.
Not really a fan, starts off fine but gets repetitive really fast. Visuals are cool, but low weapons variety and some wonky controls kinda ruins it. Got up to level 9, but I got stuck on geometry 4 ******** TIMES, and this game does not have a "Return to checkpoint" option, so I had to restart the level. After the 4th time when I was literally at the end of the level the character just clipped through the floor and got stuck. **** this game, STAY, AWAY. Edit: I decided to go back and finish it out of sheer spite.
I don't get the negative reviews, this game is a pretty fun side scroller, reminds me of the good ole times. Plays flawlessly on the steam deck as well. Highly recommended.
I dont get what all the rave reviews are about. Very generic, its an Amiga style platformer without all the charm...
Oh boy, Oh boy - How beautiful and cute this game was! I recommend to everyone at least to try it
I remember really wanting to like this but forgot why I stopped playing- but now I remembered- the bugs. Way too many bugs. Completely ruins the game for me. It sucks because there IS. a good game in there but publisher doesn't seem to care. If the devs ever got a chance to polish this game I'm sure it would be fantastic.
Ah, greetings fellow adventurers in the realm of pixels and polygons! Gather 'round, for I have embarked upon a grand quest, a digital odyssey if you will. However, let me regale you with a tale of caution, a whisper in the ears of potential buyers and brave players alike. This game, my comrades, is not a masterpiece, despite its dazzling facade. A feast for the eyes, a symphony for the ears, yet beneath the shimmering surface lies a disappointment of epic proportions. A true game, in my humble opinion, should be a joyous voyage through well-crafted levels, not an arduous task. Alas, this creation falls short in the realm of level design. A good game should not subject its players to the drudgery of tedious landscapes, nor should it force them to endure 15 to 20 minutes of battle with lackluster bosses and the lamentable bonus glitch levels. The glitch, a most peculiar choice, serves as a feeble attempt to artificially extend the adventure in this generic platformer. Behold, the game's camera, a fickle companion, occasionally zooms in or out, cunningly concealing obstacles and challenges. This devious trickery results in unjust deaths and grievous harm. Oh, how I yearn for the ability to pan the screen, much like the legendary Sonic, to unravel the mysteries that lie below. Strange choices abound in this digital tapestry, my friends. Bonus levels featuring rudimentary pinball, a lackluster doodle jump, and a simplistic game of Simon says. Why, you may ask, do these curious diversions exist? Could it be that the entire game boasts a mere ten stages? It was once titled "World One," hinting at a grander expanse, yet alas, this illusion shatters like glass. Fear not, dear seekers of virtual adventures, for my purpose is not to despair but to enlighten. Know this: the journey through this particular realm may not be worth the investment of your precious time. As I conclude this quest, I shall turn my attention to the newly remastered Crystal Caves, a beacon of nostalgia for my old-school Apogee cravings. In the vast digital landscape, let wisdom guide your choices, and may your future quests be filled with joyous exploits and pixelated wonders!
The game had potential at the beginning but a lots of blocker kinda bugs ruined the fun. Note: I bought to the game to play Duke Nukem character at the time
Why yes, Rad Rodgers, I do remember oldschool video games. In fact, I have access to many of them on this very PC. Please give me one good reason why I should play you instead of them.
