About
Lichgate: Tower Survivor is easy to learn- collect an arsenal of weapons and upgrades to defend from the continual onslaught of monsters. Surviving all nine gates of hell, however, will require strategy, cleverness, and... FLAMETHROWERS?

Craft your own tower of destruction. Mix and match from over 100 weapons and upgrades to make a different build every run.

Level up your shop to gain access to legendary weapons to obliterate your foes.

Weigh the consequences of devilish pacts that will unlock your true potential, but will also affect how enemies get stronger. Each type of enemy is strong or weak against different types of damage, so choose pacts that fit your build accordingly. Perhaps it's worth it to be greedy and take the perfect relic despite the consequences. You'll have to determine if economy, powerful relics, or higher quality items are what you need to succeed. Choose from the options available, or up the ante and bargain for a better deal at the risk of what it may cost you.

Survive 50 rounds with different builds to gain access to new relics to shape future runs.
Beat each gate to unlock new difficulties that introduce new twists.
Compete on leaderboards with your friends to see who can survive the longest.
Collect achievements by surviving with unique constraints that challenge your strategies.

The game was very disappointing. You can see all the possible content in just 3 hours. I'd leave a neutral review, but that's not allowed, and having all positive reviews is unfair. Pros: + Concept (the idea itself seems to have good potential) + Implementation (no bugs or mechanical issues have been noticed in the game) + Price (regardless of the amount of content) Cons: - Terrible meta-progression (the worst possible) - Low variability - Weapon and upgrade balance - Randomness - Length - Replayability in the current build - Primitive challenges It's not a bad game, but if you have TD experience, there's nothing to be gained here. It's like a simple phone game. However, I believe that with some effort, the game can be developed into something independent and distinctive. The foundation and engine are there – it needs more complexity and depth, and some work on replayability
It is a decent game, but has pretty low replay value. It takes very little time to unlock basically everything, and the available tower unlocks really only consist of two types, one with an extra life, and four that offer increased chance of specific weapon types. Imo, even the tower type is a fail, multistrike/bounce/splash/etc. would have been much more (relatively) enjoyable towers to play with. The game has a ton of potential, but things like progression and end of wave 50 just make me want something more. Very on the fence recommending it, I am not quite sure it is worth $7 in it's current state if one is looking for something more than a day or two of play. I really hope to see a few updates down the road! Tl;Dr - Game play is a ton of fun, however, it is somewhat shallow. Progression feels like an afterthought, short game currently. Edit: Play time is due to hitting wave 50 and needing to leave for work, managed to squeeze out wave 75 and 9hrs of "playtime" (actually hours played is closer to 10 with demo)
I'm rather new to Tower Defense games as a genre, but this game is quick to pick up, and will pull you right in! I've done a handful of runs and already sunk over three hours into the early game and I have to say there are so many quality of life features. To list a few: Speeding up time - great for just burning through build tests or grinding XP for upgrades Hovering over items in the shop will highlight compatible weapons and upgrades you already own - great for build synergy gamepad, mouse, or keyboard inputs - great accessibility features On a note of personal taste, I would specifically like to say I enjoy the music quite a bit, most games I turn down or off the in game music and listen to my own, but this has a good energy to it, fits the theme of the game. Also I rather enjoy the shape language and simple cartoony style of the mobs. It makes it easier on the eyes, especially with the frequent particle effects. Despite the eventual chaos of higher waves the game is not a mush of unreadable pixels. Really just well done little game that knows what it's about. And that is min-maxxing the heck out of your stats to be a perfect killing machine!
fun game, but it has not enough content! you saw every combination after like a few hours which is sad. The idea of the game is really fun though and when this is updated for a while I will play again and then hopefully give a positive review :)
Fun game that feels deceptively simple but has a lot of varied and deep builds. Nice twist on the genre. Leaderboards mean you keep hitting reset late into the evening :D I do wish the reroll of the shop would reset the timer.
Very fun and addictive game for those who enjoy the thrill of high rolling into amazing builds/upgrades. Much like the many other roguelikes out there, Lichgate is intuitive for new players and at the same time provides a refreshing set of tough challenges for experienced players. If you're looking to enjoy a boat load of fun and grinding of challenges, Lichgate is definitely worth checking out.
