If you’re seeking a survivors-like experience with an 80s sci-fi action vibe, set to the pulsing beat of a soundtrack by Cartridge 87, this game sets itself apart from the pack.

Whether you prefer crowd-clearing firepower, targeted precision, or life-saving shields, you can tailor your loadout for maximum carnage (and maximum style).
No two runs are ever the same. Between battles, build craft and invest your hard-earned rewards to unlock and enhance new skills, refine your strategy, and push deeper into enemy territory. Experimentation is key—try different weapon synergies, combine special effects, and perfect your approach until your unstoppable build leaves nothing but alien rubble in its wake.

It’s the ultimate showdown, straight from the adrenaline-drenched heyday of retro sci-fi action. Gear up, lock ‘n load, and get ready to Let Them Come, because the Onslaught is about to begin!
Fight your way through four distinct environments. The map always changes, and many dynamic elements will challenge the player during runs. Special mini bosses that spawn when you don't expect them. *Please take hours played into consideration. Your experience may vary (please don't yell at me)* 99/140 71% Visual Clarity 5/10 Appropriate Speed 10/10 Difficulty 10/10 Control 4/10 Grind 10/10 Risk vs Reward 2/10 Enemy Attack Variance 7/10 Battlefield weapon upgrades 8/10 Reason to explore the map 8/10 Run variance 3/10 Difficulty transitions 8/10 Meta Upgrades 7/10 Endless Mode 7/10 Accessibility 10/10 Highlight- Starting at hard difficulty, the game excels at making you feel the panic of being closed in on by the horde. With limited dodge/utility you will feel the pinch more than once in a good way. Biggest Drawback-Endless locked and relegated to hardest difficulty keeping you from the mindless god mode endgame state that we all love. Visual Clarity-Enemies are easy to see even with explosions but some obstacles may become obscured leading to death. Not adjustable. Appropriate Speed-Characters move well relative to enemy speed and speed power ups are desirable but not overpowered. Difficulty -Each stage of difficulty (normal/hard/endless) are noticeable and some preparation is required before moving on. Jumping from normal directly to endless has appropriate consequences. Control-Weapons upgrades are set with the evolution being between 2 possibilities but not player selectable. Banishes and rerolls are very limited. There is also a small selection of weapons essentially choice comes down to which to upgrade first and which 3-4 weapons to pass on each run(due to limited rerolls). Some shrines offer powerful temporary power ups with the option to pick from 3. Grind-Following each stage and difficulty unlocks will allow the player to unlock most things are they are needed without repetition. Risk vs Reward-Only present by which weapons to take and whether to take an objective or abandon the effort. No upgrades/choices have drawbacks nor gambles. Enemy Attack Variance-Enemies have projectiles both slow and fast moving, the damnable exploding enemies, Bosses have their own attack patterns. Points deducted due to hitbox unpredictability. Battlefield weapon upgrades-Each weapon gets substantial upgrades and each evolution changes how the weapon behaves greatly with only a few exceptions. Extends into endless. Reason to explore the map-The map contains dynamic enemy and player damaging obstacles, strong power ups/shrines, location bases power ups, and meta upgrades scatter throughout. Missions appear at regular intervals requiring travel. Marked down slightly due to the small variety of shrines. Run variance-3 characters and 4 stages and 18 weapons would put it in the midrange, but it is severely hampered by the set upgrades of the weapons. Difficulty transitions-The game does very well with the progression to the next difficulty. Marked down slightly for gating endless to be the hardest difficulty rather than for each difficulty. Meta Upgrades-Meta Upgrades are varied and some have more impact that just numbers though nothing too crazy. Everything's general, nothing character or weapon specific Endless Mode-The most difficult mode. Offers continuing upgrades some not number bases (flame thrower gets more jets etc.). Many more missions are given in the mode to keep you busy. Marked down due to loss of access to the mode at lower difficulties requiring substantial time to unlock and even more to not die immediately. Accessibility -Full controller support! While heavily music focused, all relevant actions (missions, boss moves, powerups etc) can be enjoyed without sound. Additionally, colorblind options are available. Awesome; no complaints here only praise. Note for one handed controller play that dodge and utility actions are present but not fully necessary to use (keyboard remains active during controller use :) ).
This game seems well done to me. The sound track is fantastic, the weapons are cool, the meta progression isn't excruciating, and you feel strong by the end of a good run. There are different levels of challenge. I'm looking forward to updates with more content and/or the next game.
stand for as long as you can
The first survivor game Ive ever played, great art style, meaningful upgrades, fun gameplay loop. Earning credits in this game is way too slow late game.

Keep it up!
Мила маленька survivors.io. Усього чотири місії і три персонажі, однак компенсується деревом технологій і генеральною реіграбельністю місій.
👽 Let Them Come: Onslaught – VHS Sci-Fi Carnage at Its Finest Let Them Come: Onslaught takes the grit of the original 2017 title and expands it into a full-scale, isometric "bullet heaven" experience. Developed by Tuatara Games, this sequel thrives on atmospheric intensity, shifting from a stationary turret defense to a mobile, high-stakes tactical survival game. What Makes It Stand Out? (The Unique "Hook") The 80s VHS Aesthetic: The game is a masterclass in style. It uses a unique blend of 3D environments and pixelated characters, all wrapped in a grainy VHS filter. It feels like playing a lost action movie from the era of Aliens and The Thing. Active Combat over Idle Pacing: Unlike many Vampire Survivors clones where you just walk in circles, Onslaught demands more active participation. The weapons have a visceral "kick," and the movement (even with the character's signature injured limp) feels heavy and tactical. Environmental Hazards: The maps aren't just static backgrounds. Lightning storms, volcanic eruptions, and orbital strikes aren't just visual flair—they are dynamic elements that can wipe out a horde or kill you if you're not careful. Dynamic Mission Objectives: During a run, random missions will pop up (like investigating a crash site). Completing these "side quests" under pressure is the only way to get the best loot, adding a layer of risk/reward missing from competitors. Pros:
[] Visual Masterpiece: The explosions, blood splatter, and muzzle flashes are incredibly satisfying. The developer's VFX expertise really shines here. [] Active Combat: Unlike many "survivors-like" games where you just walk in circles, Onslaught feels heavy and tactical. Every shot has a visceral kick. [] Killer Soundtrack: The pulse-pounding synthwave score perfectly matches the neon-drenched gore-fest vibe. [] Environmental Hazards: Maps feel alive. Lightning storms and orbital strikes are dynamic elements that can either save you or end your run.
Cons:
[] Content Variety: Compared to genre giants, the roster of characters and maps is currently a bit smaller, though what is there is highly polished. [] Steep Difficulty: The game is brutally honest about its difficulty. The jump to higher tiers can be punishing for casual players.
Visual Clutter: During late-game waves, the screen becomes so chaotic with effects that tracking enemy projectiles can become a real challenge.
Feedback for the Developers Onslaught is one of the most visually distinctive survivors-likes on the market. To reach the next level, the focus should be on Endless Mode variety and more Character Archetypes (like the recently added Mech). The "Weapon Banish" system is a great addition for build-crafting, but the game would benefit from more "synergy" tags that encourage players to experiment beyond their favorite loadout. Final Thoughts It’s a "quality over quantity" title. What it lacks in a massive roster of characters, it makes up for in pure, unadulterated polish and cinematic carnage. Reviewer’s Perspective: The foundation laid here is incredibly solid. The atmosphere is unmatched in the genre, and the gameplay loop is addictively brutal. I’ve been following the 2026 roadmap closely, and I’m excited to see the new environments and the leaderboard implementation. I’d love to receive a key for future major updates to provide a deep-dive comparison on how the meta evolves!
