Works very well, the controls are intuitive, I use the hands options instead of the laser pointer. You simply touch the side to push in, or hover to pull material out, which is much easier than in real life! I would love to be able to export the pot as an obj, fbx, stl or other 3d format so that I can 3d print it with my students and collaborate with the art teacher! This would be an amazing feature.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program to review this game You can watch my gameplay & initial impressions review here: https://youtu.be/PHN3Lm3-twE I do recommend this game. It's a very chill & relaxing game that's easy to get into and just start making stuff quickly. It's also something that you can completely delve into and spend lots of time in if you want to make that perfect piece of art work. You can spend countless hours to create that perfect shape or shade of color or remix a pattern. There's basically two different phases to this game. One is where you just create whatever you want and hopefully it will sell well at auction. I still have no idea what makes a piece sell well. The other phase is where you try to create exactly what a customer wants through a special mail order. Basically, just try to copy the photo as exactly as possible. You use the coin you make to unlock stuff from the shop. There's colors to unlock, patterns, materials, tools ... you even unlock a new environment as you go along. While this game is easy to get into, I do wish some of the mechanics were more refined & more immersive. For example, you only use one hand to shape the pottery versus using two hands like you would in real life. Also, to increase the size of the pottery, you simply click trigger outside the area versus adding clay to the object (which would have been much more immersive!) Also, instead of using a paint brush to color the pottery, you point and click the color on (although you can mix and match colors or make the color darker or lighter). Several of the mechanics are simple point and clicks like placing the pottery in the kiln. Lastly, the lighting in the room could be better so you can see your pottery better. In any event, it is fun and relaxing to play this game with all the different colors, shapes, & patterns you can use. Unlocking new items from the store is fun and you can't wait to use them on your new to be creations. Rate ?/10. No score because this is the first pottery game in VR I have played. However, I did buy Dojagi Korean Pottery and I do plan to compare and contrast these two games. P.S. I did not experience any major issues on WMR (Samsung Odyssey). However, the tracking was noticeably poorer and thus it was more frustrating to create pottery. You have to make real fine & precise hand movements to create pottery in this game and losing tracking for even an instant is very frustrating. Buy at your own risk for WMR!
This game is EXACTLY what I expected it to be. Firstly I would like to point out that I have started "Let's Create! Pottery" using the beta version of Oculus Link and naturally, the developers would not have designed the game around that software meaning there would be a few problems but fortunately, the only issue I ran into was my hands in game being a little too far forward from their normal position. You will notice this issue but at the same time, it does not make the game unplayable in the slightest. Now I have stated the headset and the only issue I have had, let's get into the pros and "not really" cons. Anybody new could enjoy this game as shown by the tutorial at the beginning. The mechanics are told via a few picture icons however I did end up not knowing how to paint my first pot but I did find out how by mistake (the option was on my left wrist). I am sure the game explained this but I must have missed it some how. The icons were changing a little too quick for me, maybe a chime when you perform a step could help to keep the gamer alerted at the fact they are passing steps of the tutorial. The game mechanics are exactly the same as the Smartphone counterpart. You can mold the clay using your hands or a laser pointer, both work great and I find that this game is much easier than the mobile version due to having the freedom to really get close to your work of art and completing the final touches with accuracy. The painting and decal work is fun however it would be nice if we could grab a brush and paint the pot for real, possibly picking it up with the left hand and painting it with the right for example. Aesthetically the game is beautiful with the music complimenting the zen-like atmosphere. I preferred completing the pot so I could bake it as the sky box would change from day to night and the mood/lighting felt much better. It would be fantastic if we could pick between a constant day or night cycle but I do understand the day light helps you to see the pot as you are sculpting it. If you enjoyed the mobile version of Let's Create! Pottery then you are going to love this however this game doesn't just cater to it's older fans, a new player could easily get into this, I will gladly vouch for it. Thank you to the developers for bringing this to VR and if you do read the reviews, please port it over to the Oculus Quest, this type of game would be very welcome on their storefront.
我的设备是三星的mr+,进入后人是悬浮在屋里,头都要顶着天花板了,做花瓶的位置在真实的地板下面,触碰不到,人物不能移动,希望修复!目前暂时不推荐
Everything you make in this game looks like a 9th grade pottery project... Pass on and get masters of pottery, that game may not have VR but at least you can make things you can feel really proud of.
This game is pretty neat. I expected a pure sandbox, but there are missions to complete. The controls work decently well, but they could be could be better. It can be tough to get the exact curve/shape that you want. Luckily, the missions have a template overlay that show you how to build the sculpture. The price is probably slightly too high at $20 US. Something more like $10 would be more attractive.
I don´t understand why nobody seems to play this game. It looks very polished, it even has some kind of campaign to it, and if there will be some reasonable social interaction between potters, I think it can be very soothing experience. Maybe the price is a little steep, 10 bucks would suit title with this scope better. But otherwise - I recommend everyone to at least try this.
