This short, but sweet platformer that has impressive lighting and a deeper narrative than I thought. A nice palette cleanse to longer games out there. Well worth your time!
my honest opinion well some of the 2 block jumps are kinda weird i sometime get up but most of the time just stick on the wall this game is fun but it has a few bug with the gravity being a bit off but other then those 2 this game has a lot potential and i mean no disrespect to the dev i know making a game is hard your game nice
Surprisingly, interesting game. I love the style and atmosphere the developer tried to introduce. However, it's still too short for 5$ (I would expect at least 25 levels) and there are some annoying bugs with the collider box...And man, there is no ending, so I'm a bit dissapointed. Summarising all things together, can I recommend this game? It's more yes than no and despite of issues I've described I really enjoyed the game.
simples e curto... 7/10. wall jump as vezes dificil de fazer mas me diverti
Приятная игра на вечерок
Leo The Square is an absolute gem of a game that brings both creativity and fun to the forefront. From the moment you dive in, you’re greeted with vibrant visuals and a unique, square-shaped protagonist that immediately stands out. The puzzles are brilliantly designed, challenging you just enough without ever feeling frustrating. It’s that perfect sweet spot where you’re motivated to keep going, eager to see what’s around the next corner. The controls are smooth, and the levels are crafted with such care that each new stage feels like a fresh adventure. What really makes Leo The Square shine, though, is its quirky charm and the way it encourages you to think outside the box (pun intended!). It’s a game that doesn’t just rely on traditional mechanics—it pushes you to explore, experiment, and get creative. Whether you’re in it for a short gaming session or to immerse yourself for hours, the game has a way of keeping you hooked. You can’t help but root for Leo, and that’s the mark of a game that truly connects with its players. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're into fun, clever, and visually pleasing indie games. You won’t regret it!
Almost an hour in and so far I'm enjoying this. For the first game this is definitely suspiciously good. I like that unlike modern games this doesn't have 3-5 easy gay levels that you sleep-walk through before the actual gameplay begins. This one, after a short intro level, MAKES YOU CHOKE ON IT FAST. There's never something that makes you drop the game but there's enough required precision to almost get it and then try a bunch more. At some point my wife told me it's time to sleep so I had to tell her TO SHUT THE ♥♥♥♥ UP so the game definitely passed that test. I also like the intermittent text in-between chapters that is somewhere between funny, insane or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up but in a way that you get. I mean the developer is Ukrainian so I would expect nothing else. Hope he lives long enough to make another game. PS. Just finished the game but missed two rhombuses apparently ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
It's a good game, It reminds me Thomas was Alone. It's a good 2D platformer, the color scheme is pleasant. There are some problems with the controls, but I hope the game will be improved and it will get even better. If you like platformers, then the game is worth a try.
as you can see i received a copy of this game for free, and i said to the developer i would write a (hopefully) helpful review. So, here we go. i love the atmosphere, the simplicity definitely sparks and they defo hit the nail on that part. the one issue i came across was in the movement, as you move you can see Leos eye move, indicating the direction hes facing, but that comes at a detriment when you reach the half way point and you need to do wall-jumps. now, it could just be a skill issue but i found sometimes the wall jumping was inconsistent, and in some occasions difficult to provoke as sometimes Leo stays stuck facing one direction (and from my understanding you can only start wall jumping from the direction hes facing, so if you need to jump off the platform and start wall jumping as soon as you jump, sometimes you just fall as he isn't facing the right way when you turn around quickly). i did come across a glitch but nothing game breaking, in levels with moving objects you can use collision to force yourself into the wall. overall, i'd say my experience with this game was certainly positive, as seen above my only complaint is to do with the moment and whilst yes its a big part of being a platformer, its not an issue that stops you from playing completely. i'll give this game a solid 7/10, great work dev! keep it up :)
Feels like a generic 2D scratch platformer with post processing. The controls are buggy, and the main character is literally a square with one eye. Okay game, NOT worth the money.
