A Surprisingly Faithful Retelling Unlike earlier LEGO games that relied on slapstick pantomime, Lego The Lord of the Rings uses actual dialogue lifted directly from The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. This choice gives the game an unexpected emotional weight. Key moments—like Gandalf’s fall in Moria or Boromir’s redemption—are presented with sincerity, even as visual gags play out in the background. The story spans all three films, from the quiet beginnings in the Shire to the climactic destruction of the One Ring.
