Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tl;dr: Classic, good ol' fun LEGO game, highly recommend it. There are some flaws in the old engine and polish, but it's often in discount, and worth the original pricing. Both for LOTR and LEGO-games fans, this is an excellent title. It is a first attempt at an open world game, and it does an amazing job. You can explore the entirety of Middle Earth, and solve puzzles to collect bricks around every corner of the map. The story is done nicely and still has that sweet and sometimes laugh-out-loud LEGO humor, but also knows when to take the story seriously in moments where it matters. It can be quite emotional where it needs to be, and I'd argue some levels can even be a little scary for kids (e.g. the Shelob level) while always having fun puzzles in the levels themselves. The inventory-mechanic and each character having their own abilities makes every character feel unique and useful. It was also the first LEGO-game that used real voice lines, granted they're from the movies themselves, but it does help to give the story more weight. Now, despite all the praise, this game is also not without its flaws. Mostly within the open world, I discovered many bugs within the game-engine that make some puzzles outright undoable (like platforming), and I've suffered 5 or 6 crashes in my playthrough, despite my pc specs and this being an old game that should run on a modern-day potato (or maybe, because of it). I've spent more time fighting the engine than solving puzzles. Still, taking into account this game is often in discount and not even that expensive in its original pricing, it's worth buying. It was way ahead of its time in understanding what consists of the 'fun' parts of open-world, and despite being dated in engine, it still holds up today. The story itself will give you a good 7~8 hours of fun, and the open world will give you a good 10~20 hours with good reasons to replay the story. Finally, less important, but still; the textures and lighting in this game are excellent, you can tell they really made an effort to make it pretty while keeping a LEGO-charm. 4/5 for me. This is a must-have if you're a fan of LEGO-games or the LOTR-franchise.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

kinda disappointing not gonna lie. swapping characters in the open world is very annoying. yes, the open world is cool but the puzzles inside it are somewhat tedious and very repetitive.
best Lego game ever and so easy to make progress 100%

I originally played this on the playstation 3 with my brother growing up, we had a lot of fun, decided to replay it again and fully complete it, made me think back again.
Cute funny game about farming a billion LEGO pieces with some cutscenes from LOTR universe. If you are an achivement hunter - just remember, 60FPS + VSync + 1024*768 will fix 99% of your bug issues.
