Based on The Lord of the Rings motion picture trilogy, LEGO® The Lord of the Rings follows the original story-lines of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, taking players through the epic story events re-imagined with the humor and endl

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

By far the worst Lego Game ever made. Don't play this if you want to keep your childhood memories of how fun and cool these games were. Would not recommend anyone to play ever.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I could not even start the game because it was constantly crashing. After installing some very old drivers I could make the game work. Anyways, after a 2 hours playing I have reached a point where the game constantly crashes and I cannot progress anymore. Nothing I tried worked, and I found many people have had similar issues when I was searching for a solution. I barely paid 4 euros for this game during sales but even though I am extremely disappointed.
This game has pushed me to my breaking point and forced me to write my very first steam review. I had fond memories of playing this game on the xbox 360, so when I saw it was on sale I instantly got it. The main story is just as fun and entertaining as I remember, however if you dare try to 100% percent this game you are in for a world of hurt. I'm not usually a completionist, but if I feel like getting 100% is attainable I will usually go for it. And never when I've played a lego game have I found it too difficult to complete. But I will not be completing this game. There are several major bugs that make getting certain bricks nigh impossible. Gollum walls always have issues, with Gollum deciding that he no longer wants to climb a wall and just jumps off. Good luck doing any of the push puzzles, because the block you're pushing is almost guaranteed to randomly fly away, and occasionally fly completely off the track. This game also has a habit of making you switch between several characters or items to collect a brick, which is usually fine, but if at any point the puzzle breaks (and it probably will) you are then forced to do all of it over. For one particular brick I was made to do a fishing minigame, then use a crank to open the door, then shoot an arrow, then use an axe, then throw a bomb. just to unlock a push puzzle, which inevitably broke. Having the block I was pushing become stuck in midair with no way to get it down except for restarting the puzzle. So I did. I went back to the waypoint and began repeating my steps, but when I got back to the crank, Samwise decided not to turn it. Completely breaking the puzzle. forcing you to either play a level or quit the game to reset the overworld. In addition to all of this, the puzzle itself was a nightmare to find. When setting your destination for the brick, the ghost studs lead you to a completely different location. This broke me. There are also several INTENTIONAL gameplay elements that are annoying. Such as the dead marshes level when Gollum will not shut the hell up for the life of him, continually beckoning you to follow him when you are just trying to complete the level. Also the absolute dog water lighting. You will be forced to turn your brightness all the way up just to see certain levels, or you'll probably miss a collectable. And traveling the overworld is a slog. Once you get past the enjoyment of the pretty environments, you are left with walking for several minutes from point a to b at times, with characters whose fastest speed is a leisurely jog. This is the least polished lego game I have ever played and I'm honestly shocked that a AAA company would release something like this. Do not buy it with the intention of completing it, unless you have the patience of a Buddhist monk.
It's like watching the movies all over again, except there are added silly jokes and characters from the books. It is a simple game with a lot of collectibles!
