Crashes for no reason more than once

After playing through LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, I found LEGO Batman 1 to be a really boring LEGO game. Unlike LEGO Star Wars, it didn't have the same fun stuff that kept me playing. The levels felt repetitive and copy-pasted, with very little variety. The combat was slow, the characters felt lifeless, and even the villains didn't feel very interesting. Playing through the villains' missions was especially disappointing because it felt like replaying the same levels again from another side, with the same rooms, objects, and enemies. By the end, I was left with no desire to ever play this game again.

LEGO Batman: The Videogame was my childhood. Now returning to this game years later I'm proud to say this is one of the greatest LEGO games. While most people praise the humour of these games, and it is admittedly on-point, what makes this game iconic is the atmosphere. LEGO Batman consitently demonstrates a mastery of colour and lighting to create an essential Batman vibe. I love exploring the levels of this game and just appreciating how beautiful and spooky everything is. It's perfect and so very memorable. In terms of gameplay, the levels are extremely playable regardless of if you're doing story mode or freeplay. Every level can be zipped through if you're looking for a specific minikit which makes this game very completion-friendly. There is a lot of enemy-spam and it does get anoying. And, while Danny Elfman's score helps solidify this game's immaculate vibes, the lack of music variety does get old. I do stand by my claim that this is one of the great LEGO games, but it easily has the worst bonus levels I've ever seen. Completing these games is its own reward, but the bonus levels are a disappointing end to this otherwise amazing experience. I'm so happy I picked this up and I'm excited to play Legacy of the Dark Knight whenever I stop feeling so dang cheap. If you are a fan of LEGO games, then LEGO Batman: The Videogame is a must-play. Note. I had my framerate drop just a couple of times, but did not have a single tech issue beyong that. I did have vsync enabled.

great game see ive never played lego really until now and im hooked ! i love legos buts i cant afford them so i play them on my pc and its great feels like the real thing like real legos
