About

Brought to you by Doom Turtle, the developers of Ember Knights and our upcoming project, Welcome to Harmony.
When one bored Earthling teen is accidentally teleported to the far-flung Starkadian Empire, he lands face-first in the middle of an interdimensional battle between good and evil. Now it’s up to him and a ragtag bunch of misfits to defeat the shadowy, extradimensional armies of the Empire and become the heroes the system needs.
Legends of Starkadia: Chapter 1 delivers the complete, self-contained experience of Scrap World, the first planet in our epic interstellar saga. This chapter offers a polished 2-hour adventure packed with tactical combat, unique characters, and intense boss fights.
We want to be deeply transparent with our community: the complete 11-planet story of Starkadia is fully written, but as a small indie studio, the development cost to build the remaining 10 planets is a massive gamble. We have transitioned Chapter 1 to a paid model as an honest gauge of player interest. 100% of the revenue from this game and its supporter bundles goes directly into a dedicated studio bucket to recoup our development costs and fund the production of future chapters.
Key Features:
Strategic turn-based combat with quick-time events (QTEs) for both offense and defense.
Explore the scrap-reclaimed dunes, hidden secrets, and side missions of Scrap World.
Unlock and play as quirky characters, each with their own unique attributes and combat skills.
Support an independent studio's dream to build a massive, 11-planet universe piece by piece.
Thank you for backing Chapter 1 and standing with our studio. Your purchase is a direct vote to help us keep building the galaxy!

Weird stuff here. Apparently this game was cancelled because they pivoted to making a roguelike deckbuilder? Which let me just say is extremely stupid, since there are like 10 a day coming out and most people are sick of them. But whatever. The game is a pretty much identical to Kingdom of the dump, minus the great art-style, charm and humor. This game looks corny and the writhing is really boring. But the gameplay is good. Turned based with QTE, I love that kind of combat. I appreciate them releasing what they've made and hopefully one day they can complete this game. But I'm not going to play an incomplete game, even if free. What's the point?
Soul, drive and visuals — it’s got it all. Selling it for a couple of dollars is absolutely fair and well-deserved. But why pay later when you can grab it now? Grab it whilst you still can!

I really liked this game and it really has potential. It's just sad that it's never going to be finished in the end. If it had been completed I'm sure it could have been great. I would still reccomend trying it, but you will have seen everything after 1 playthrough.
i'm not a big turn based RPG enjoyer. I see a lot of charm in this game. Even if i didn't plan to grind this game it's still unfortunate to hear that they decided not to develop it into a full game because i could see people falling in love with this game. I'm glad they did drop the game for free even if incomplete. The writing is light and silly. The artstyle is fun. Sound effects and animations are satisfying. I only encountered one small bug in my couple hours of playing. I can't seem to find the captain's voyager and gave up. I like how the battles are easy so you can just chill out and run through the game but it would be nice if the fights were a little more challenging. I do recommend this game for gamers who enjoy classic turn based RPG's.
The 2 hours that I've played is just wonderful. One can only imagine what could've been...
If you are going to play it then save often! I got stuck between objects twice, and once I softlocked (died to boss and it didn't respawn anymore). Game looks really nice. I'm not a big fan of turn-based combat but I didn't mind it much. Combat is quite simple but there's a significant difficulty spike that will make you consider doing something more than just attack, attack, attack. Took me about 2 hours to beat it. All in all I enjoyed it.
I am already wishing this full game was available to purchase. I am usually someone that skips the talking in games and just goes for action and content. The comic book style of the intro and the character dialog is fun and I enjoyed actually watching it. I love the art style. I honestly forgot how fun games were with quick events in the turn based fighting. Reminds me of the old legends of the Dragoon Playstation game. I added your upcoming game to my wish list and I will certainly check it out. If I were you , I would keep working on this game and sell it. Maybe add multi-button clicks for extra attack combos. Thanks for sharing what you had.
very good Turn-Based RPG , the first planet you can play is good, i expect the next planets be good as the first planet to explore and enjoy the design of the planet, monsters and characters
